This is honestly an insanely beautiful piece of work that you've created. It's so different to take the color pink and imagine it as anything but describing things like love, romance, and gentle things. I have to admit, the mention of a cat and its unconditional feelings for its owner made me tear up a bit, as I myself am a cat owner and have been pulled through dark times by them. I feel like even with so few words, you managed to say what one thousand words probably could not articulate any better. Of all the drabbles I've ever read, this is by far one of my favorites.
I think you described the color that you chose perfectly. In every sentence, including the chapter title, you came up with another way to describe it, which is amazing. But while each sentence only describes the color, you still manage to tell a story with them.
I like the unexpected dark turn that it took at the end. Every time I think of the color pink, I only think of happy things, like roses, Valentine's day, and stuff like that. But I like the way it ended because it surprised me; it vaguely gave the reader an idea on what happened, but I think that is what made it very effective. You did a wonderful job with this piece; I really enjoyed reading it.
That you broke my heart with so few words is both depressing and so freaking incredible. This is why you have such a following, and why I love your work so much. It comes so easily too you and just flows. This was gorgeous and filled with so much everything. You said more with those eighty-five words than most say with a hundred-thousand. You amaze me.
Also, cats. Just cats. All of them. All of the cats and kittens and ahhhhhhh so much adorable. I loved this!
I swear to god you cheated at this, because cats are my most favorite thing ever. I literally gasped when I started reading it. So perfect, so simple, and so awfully heartbreaking. You invoked pink so easily in such a short little piece. My favorite line wasn't even part of it, but the chapter title. It is the passion of red, mixed With the innocence of white. explains it perfectly.
Unfortunately, one of the pictures you used for the layout shows up as a 'picture not found' so I can't fully judge that. Based on the cute cat picture, I like it though. All in all, I enjoyed this. Good job.
