The layout is simple which I think benefits the story really well. There's no flashy pictures, or an abundance of colors. It just is. So theres not take away from the story. To be honest this story gave me chills. When I read the summary I was like, "Oh its gonna be something really fluffy," but this had so much more emotional weight than that. The tragedy that Bonnie suffered is so sad and written so well I just wanted to reach into the story and hold her through the pain she was feeling because when something that horrific happens people dont know how to react except to put the person at arms length. They dont know to see the sadness underneath the automatic "I'm Okay" response to the often-too asked question of "How are you doing?" It breaks my heart that even Bonnie's mother tries to "fix" whats wrong with Bonnie instead of embracing her for her inner beauty. Overall, I really loved this story.
