I actually just reread the original not too long ago, and I really love what you've decided to change and more importantly, what you've decided to keep. All the best parts are there while having a much cleaner and smoother writing style. I absolutely love this! Now, I realize I may be a tad bias, but I think this is truly a fantastic story! I was going through a fanfic lull where everything was so bleh, and this hit the spot!
