What a lovely story about taking in a new companion. It was so sweet. The details and description you put in this story on the interactions between the at and the owner played vividly in my head as I read the story.

It’s rather beautiful how compassionate and unconditional the love can be between human and feline.

I completely agree with this statement in the story. Animals are so loving and soothing creatures.

I always get so happy when I see heavy descriptive stories. Classical books have always been my favourite and the style of those includes tons of description, so when I see a modern story with it I instantly start to love it.

This story is so simple, but really well executed. Short stories do not have to be overly dramatic and end with death or a declaration of love. Taking the everyday and turning it into something stunning like this, is what short stories should be. It's emotive, realistic, and down to earth. Somehow you made someone sitting with their cats seem powerful and moving.
