I really wish I had read this sooner. It would have helped me out a bit. I'll amke it short and say that this piece is amazing in all of it's tragedy. I go through the same thing...thanks for writing this.

Ok, why did I never read this sooner?! Seriously, this is such an amazing piece of writing. I can honestly say that I've never had an eating disorder, so I would never be able to empathise with you on that, but I was badly bullied at school (for three years actually) and I do know how cruel other kids can be, and because of this, I always had "weight" issues. I was constantly made to feel inferior, even though I knew in my heart of hearts I was a good person. I was quite lucky though, my family were and always have been a huge part in my life and if it wasn't for them, I'm not sure where I'd be right now.

I'm 29 now and I really feel that those early years have helped me to be the person that I am today. I no longer feel inferior; a lesser mortal. I'm married to an amazing husband and my life is just peachy. I am now the lead singer of a successful Soul/Motown band and my confidence is just sky high. I'm not a "skinny bitch" (never have been). I'm 11 stone 13 pounds and I'm happy with that.

Your story is inspirational and I hope that you're taking care of yourself. If not, I shall have to come and rub some of my good vibes off on you, ok?
