pulling the sheet from under Jess , waking her up and throwing her
off the bed .

"Oh ooops sorry , I didnt think you would fly that far." Laila apolagized
as she threw herself on the bed Jess was laying on .
"Yeh no problem , cause you know I like being tossed in the air
in mid dream ." Jess replied sarcasticly as she got up fixing
herself .
Jess examined the whole room trying to take in where she was at .
She watched Laila make pretend snow angels in the sheets . Then caught
sight of the time .
"Oh my god its seven a.m in the morning , why the hell are you up ?" Jess asked
as she lay down on the bed .
"Because we have plans ! " Laila laughed as she jumped up and down on the bed.
"ugh no ." Jess grunted ..... " correction love, YOU have plans " Jess said as she tripped Laila.
Some people never change ,Jess thought to herself as she looked at Laila .
It had been two years since they graduated highschool and she still was
a such a kid ... which wasnt a bad thing . Unlike other people Jess
didnt mind that her best friend was odd and off center always talking
like she was on crack or something . She was a good friend and always there
when Jess needed her .
" NO! WE have plans !!" Laila said as she pulled Jess out of bed .
"so get ready ... I'll be waiting downstairs." Laila quickly ran out
of the room singing at the top of her lungs .
"Oh god ... shes insane." Jess fell back on her bed , then noticed
the sun peeking in through the curtians .
She opened the curtians and took in the ocean view. The mist of the
ocean softly touched her face . She could get use to this , boston was
breathtaking.
" I wonder where you are ?" Jess asked as she watched the sun rise .
Yes it was over , but she couldnt help to wonder about Mikey
it was only natural . It was a long drive away from there and
for one split second she thought about turning back . On the other hand she felt
free , she wasnt living a lie anymore and it felt good .
"Thank god for Laila if not I would be home right now with mum ugh now seriously that
would be hell ." Jess said as she made her way to the bathroom to get ready.
"JESS!!! " Laila yelled sitting at the bottom of the stairway.
"I'm coming ! I'm coming ! " Jess said as she ran down the stairs
before Laila would litterally lose it .
" oh so sexy !" Laila commented as Jess walked toward the door .

"Ok come on love !" Laila said interupting Jess's sentence
as she pulled her out of the house .
Okay yes this girl was always hyper and on the move like crazy
but she seemed more energized today than usual , Jess thought as
Laila ran to the driver seat then got in turning the car on and driving
a bit even before Jess had fully closed the door .
" So Jess I was thinking you should come on tour with Tablesixteen,
you could be like that sexy girl that is just well... sexy ." Laila
laughed as she tapped her fingers on the stearing wheel to the beat of the song on the
radio.
" Sounds good ... cause you know im sexy ." Jess played along then
looked to see where they were at .
"Starbucks ? " Jess asked feeling confused
"You rushed me and made me get dressed ...to come to starbucks ?"
"uh huh !" Laila said as she unbuckled her seat belt and stepped out of the car.
" I was right ... you trully are insane ." Jess laughed as she walked
into the coffee shop .
" Not entirely they have a new flavor that im dying to try! and coffee
just taste better in the morning , so see I have my theories and or reasons.
Laila made her way to the counter and ordered ... She didnt even
have to ask what Jess wanted she already knew .
"Let me have one of your pumpkin spice lattes and one vanilla latte."
Laila said enthusiasticly.
Jess searched for a table near the window , which was easy since there
was hardly any poeple.
" Here love I got you vanilla !" Laila said as she slid into the booth
sipping the coffee ... "oh crap thats hot !" Laila jumped back
in her seat pulling the cup away from her mouth .
" It's like I always say, theres a reason why the cups say caution hot !"
Jess said as she pointed out the writing on her cup.
"Pfft following the rules is for - " Laila froze looking forward like
she had seen a gost.
" What ? whats wrong ?" Jess asked as she turned around
looking in the direction Laila was .
"Hey Jess is'nt that , that guy that plays a vampire from that movie from that book from that..."
Lailas ramblings faded in Jess's mind as she locked eyes with
a guy she felt she must have met a million times before.
Laila sat quitely for a second pondering the situaution.
"Oh ! is this a moment !... are you two having a moment ? "
Laila said snapping Jess out of the trance she was in .
Jess watched him walk toward the counter then turn back and flash her a
smile . Her heart leaped and she jerked forward . Then turned around
and continued staring out the window like nothing.
" what was that ?" Laila asked with a big smile plastered on her face .
" Nothing ." Jess said smirking as she sipped her coffee ...

" See thats why the cup says CAUTION HOT ! " Laila playfully mocked

" Here I think you dropped this. " the guy said handing Jess his napkin.
"oh smoothe. " Laila commented only to get a swift kick to her
shin provided by Jess .
"oh would you look at that over there a place... im going to go find my
something" Laila awkwardly said as she slid out of the booth walking
toward the entrance, leaving the two alone.
"Robert ." He said as he stretched his hand out to Jess.
"Nice to meet you Robert I'm Jess." she said stretching out her
hand expecting a shake but instead it was greeted with a polite kiss .
Her heart fluttered and she felt so giggly all of a sudden . She almost felt
bad for feeling this way... but why , maybe it was too soon to feel this way .
It was strange she couldnt help it just the way he looked at her with his blue eyes made her
feel weak. It took a while before Jess noticed she was just sitting there smiling like a idiot .
"Hmm." Jess lightly cleared her throat .
"So-." Robert started up
-"Rob ! that cop is giving you a ticket ." Laila said calmly while eating a ice cream.
"What! " NO WAIT ! " Robert shouted as he ran outside waving his hand frantically .
Suddenly he didnt seem so sauve anymore ,Jess laughed she liked him
better like that . She watched him run out then turned back to Laila .
" ok umm first off where did you get that ice cream? second ... did you just call him Rob ?" Jess asked while staring at her best friend.
" UMMMMM no ." Laila said knowing she would loose the argument .
"Oh my gosh you didnt bring me here to get coffee !" Jess laughed .
"Yes! " Laila fought back .
Jess stopped and looked at Laila like how she always use to when she knew Laila was lying.
Laila was quite for a second looking back and forth trying to not break under the
pressure.
"OK OKAY ! well I did want you all to meet but not now . I was planning
a party later and he was invited and I was kinda sorta hoping you two
would hit it off and you know yeh ." Laila mumbled as she
made circles with the spilt coffee on the table .
Jess Laughed as she wached her best friend try to catch up with
everything that just happened .
"Hey ! dont laugh I was right you two did hit it off and the best part is he doesnt even
know that your the girl I had originally wanted him to meet ." Laila
burst out into laughter realizing how silly the whole
situation turned out .
"what are you laughing at ?" Jess said while starting to laugh herself .
" This... just this , and the fact that Rob is getting lectured by that
cop less then half his size ."
Jess turned around only to the see him standing there with his head down as
the cop pointed at a sign saying no parking .
Oh my god Jess thought as she watched Robert make exagerated gestures
with his hands ... This is just too great .
