Halloween
One-Shot.
A slight drift of cold air swept by the girl as she knocked on the door. The roaring music because louder as the door swung open. Someone turned down the music when they realized who was at the door.
"It's about time you showed up, Jamia," said a boy with wild and untamable hair.
"Sorry, Ray. My mother gave me some last-minute chores and I had to finish them."
The girl who answered the door was wearing a dark dress with a crimson band around the waist.
Olivia.
After everyone was settled inside and were listening to music, Olivia went to the kitchen to get more sodas. On her way back, she jumped and dropped all the sodas.
"Olivia. What's wrong?"
Her wide eyes lessened in size.
"There was someone looking in the picture window."
"Oh come on. It's Halloween. There's gonna be come young kids out to scare people."
She gathered the shaken-up sodas with her shaky hands.
"Okay well... let's watch a movie. I got House On Haunted Hill!"
The lights were shut of and everyone gathered on the couch and floorspace nearby to watch.
During a quiet part, Gerard heard the front door's handle jiggle. He quickly paused the movie.
"Someone's trying to get in the front door."
"Gee, you're just paranoid."
He ran to the front door and opened it. A huge gust of wind knocked him to the hard floor. Olivia ran toward his side. A dark figure stood in the doorway. It entered the house and everyone was still.
"Who are you?" spoke a brave Frankie.
"You don't need to know who I am. But I know you. Now, listen to me and nothing bad will happen."
"Listen you scary... whoever you are, go away or we'll call the police."
"Go ahead and try."
The man held up come cut wires. Then took out a shiny, silver gun; closing the door behind him.
"Everyone line up on the wall. NOW!"
Olivia helped Gerard up as they all lined up on the living room wall.
"Now, which one of you wants to help me?" He spoke, throwing some rope on the floor. The frightened teens stood there; staring at him.
"Someone pick up this rope and tie up the rest of ya'lls! You there boy. With the girly hair! Do it!"
Gerard scattered to the floor, grabbing the rope. Everyone sat in a circle as he tied their hands together with the thick, rough rope. Then the man tied Gerard up; checking that everyone else was tight.
"I'm gonna leave this room for a minute and explore."
He walked out of the room.
"Dude! Gerard! Remind me to never EVER come to one of your parties again!"
"Who is that guy?!"
"Well, you might think I'm crazy, but a guy escaped from the state mental hospital," Mikey admitted his knowledge.
"Are you friggin' serious?"
"Yeah, his description was similar to that guy's."
"Mikey, stop messing around."
"I'm not lying! Why would I lie at a time like this?!"
"Frankie... hold still. I almost have your phone my my hand," Ray struggled a bit more, then retrieved the cell phone. He slowly dialed 911. But there was no service! The man came back to the room.
"Okay, I don't have an exact plan for you guys, but a murderous death is called for."
"Dude, what the heck do you want with us? We're innocent teenagers! What did we do?"
"I'm just bored. I have to keep myself amused somehow."
"So, you're such a sick pervert that you kill for fun?"
Frank was even more brave, but Ray didn't like his bravery.
"Stop arguing with the psycho! We don't want to be killed!"
So much for disliking that bravery.
"You don't? Sorry, living isn't on the agenda."
A loud shot rang out and Ray screamed, very high pitched. Bob had been working on getting loose, so when the shot went off, he broke loose and charged at the guy, fiercely tackling him. Bob grabbed his gun and sat on him. Then carefully reached over to helped the rest of the gang get loose.
"Someone go call 911! NOW!"
After an ambulance took Ray to the hospital, along with a concerned Bob, and the police took the guy away, everyone else sat down; no one daring to speak for the next 15 minutes.
"That was the scariest thing in the world!" Mikey still in shock.
"Yeah, luckily they said Ray's gonna be okay."
Suddenly, the phone rang. Olivia jumped, then answered.
"Hello?"
"Just thought I'd let you know that your phone wires aren't cut. Also... this isn't over!!!"
