Sequel: Something Else

And if I Die Before I Wake...

Morgan's POV

"What if i didn't want saving!" I yelled. He looked on, with disbelief in his eyes. I realized how he would have taken my words. "I don't want to die! B ut has it ever occured to you that, even though i can't kill you, I've probably taken out more vampires than you have humans!! For God's sake, I'ma a vampire slayer!!!!! And you want to know something? I have been so hung up on getting rid of you that I haven;t had a real fight in weeks! which, for me, is very very frustrating!"

My words had not been expected, and I took pride in knowing I had left the creature speechless. But not for long. Soon he recovered and the look in his eye changed. I don't know what it was, but his glare softened into almost...understanding? Who am I kidding! That thing has no idea what my life is like!

I really really wanted to take my frustration out on the monsters downstairs. And for some reason: I wanted to prove my self to him. I wanted to show him that I could kick his ass if it weren't for the tiny fact that he in invincable.

"You are going to get yourself killed one of these days, you know that right?" he finally said, staring at his door with confusion. He probably heard something that I could not.

"I know that, but I plan on taking as many of your kind down with me as possible. Now since you clearly won't let me leave alone, you are coming with me to my apartment."

He smirked, clearly thinking I couldn't get past him, "And I would be doing this because???"

"Because I am preactically unarmed, and I am going to kill your lovely daddy. Are you coming with me or not?"

His face was bemused, he still didn't think I could kill a vampire.

"If you don't think I can kill him, than why don't you come along and watch the fight. If things get out of my control you can play the hero again. Now let's go." And I climbed out the window. I also grudgeningly accepted his help getting down the wall (as I was still slightly light-headed.)

The walk towards my apartment was no more exciting then the first time I had walked this path earlier today. So I decided to talk to the thing. It could be useful in later tasks.

"I have a question: Why is it that you (a halfbreed vampire) are unbeatable and vampires are, but norma lvampires still look down on you?"

He looked down at me, I was much shorter than him, before replying.
