This Loveless Lullaby

I can give you a million different reasons why I married my husband. There is no doubt I love him with all my heart, I’d give anything to keep him safe, I’d risk my own life for his, I’d be there for him in a heart beat. Those who are married are told to respect one another, to honor one another, to cherish one another, to love one another.

The thoughts that run through my mind about him daily damn near drive me crazy. Memories and thoughts of when we were little flash through my mind, golden moments, romance and passion, never ending surprises, all that was.

When I first married my husband I did it for love, I did it to call him mine forever, and when we were legally bonded I believed him when he said, “To love and to cherish, until I die.” looks like this marriage is damn near butchered.

My name is Allison Janet Jonas, and all I want is for my husband to love me.
