A Journey to a Hundred Worlds

So I came into this NaNoWriMo with hardly any planning so the beginning is so horribly spotty and who knows how the rest of the story will go, but yeah, I'm gonna post it on here.
So the plot:
Michelle wakes up one night to find her older brother missing and ends up running away and finding herself in another world. Slowly she learns more about what exactly is going on with the world-traveling, impending disasters, and constant attacks on her and the group that ends up travelling along with her. But why was her brother kidnapped and what exactly is the person behind it planning?
