I Knew I Loved You

"When are they coming?" I asked, sighing. Jess looked at her watch, then at me.

"They should be here any minute..." She said, looking around. I joined her in her search, scanning the people in the mall. "I see them!" She said excitedly, waving. I looked where she was looking, and saw none other then Kevin and Joe.

I looked around more, wondering why they weren't getting mobbed.

"Hey Jess." Kevin smiled warmly, walking over to us. She bit her bottom lip.

"Hey Kevin." She said, lightly twirling her foot on the ground. I yawned. "Oh, right! This is my friend, Bella." She smiled. I saw Joe look at us, then Kevin.

"And this is my brother Joe... Joe, don't you have a friend named Isabella?" He asked. Joe scoffed.

"I had." He corrected. I rolled my eyes.

"Well then... You two can hang out!" Jess giggled, and pushed me to Joe. I didn't move.

"Jess, can I just go home?" I mumbled. Kevin looked at Joe then me.

"Am I missing something?" He asked. Joe shrugged, and looked away. Jess sighed.

"Bella is... Izzy-Bella." She said. Kevin looked at her, and then at me.

"Your the girl Joe doesn't shut up about?" He asked. Joe's head snapped, and he glared at his brother. I giggled.

"I guess so." I smiled as I heard someone walking over behind us. It sent shivers up my spine.

"Bella! Baby!" He called. I cringed, but spun around.

"Hey Ricky." I said quietly. He smiled down at me, and kissed me on the lips. I didn't kiss back, again.

"Something wrong?" He asked. I bit my bottom lip, and looked at Jess for help. She groaned silently.

"I'm, not feeling well. Again." I muttered. He sighed, and touched his forehead to mine.

"Baby, you should get checked out." He said. I nodded, and lightly pulled away.

"I will." I smiled a bit. He smiled back, but took two steps back.

"I don't wanna get sick, so I'll talk to you when your feeling better, okay?" He asked. I nodded, and waved to him. He walked off, and I turned around again.

"What a jerk." Joe muttered. I looked up at him. He sounded a little... Jealous?

"You should break up with him." Jess said. I shrugged.

"Easy for you to say." I said. She looked at me sympathetically.

"Sorry Bella. Do you wanna go home?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, but have fun." I smiled lightly. She nodded and hugged me. I hugged her back, then pulled away.

"Bye Bella. It was nice meeting you." Kevin smiled. I nodded, and smiled back.

"Thanks. It was nice meeting you too... Bye Joe." I said, awkwardly waving. I turned around, and walked outside. That was really weird.

I heard the mall door open, and close again.

"I'll walk you home." Joe said quietly. I looked at him. He was looking ahead.

"I thought you didn't like me." I sighed. He shrugged.

"I was wrong... I shouldn't have gotten mad at you." He said. I smiled lightly. "I'm sorry." He added.

"I forgive you." I said, biting my bottom lip. He chuckled.

"You have to stop doing that. Your lips are horrible." He said. I playfully glared at him.

"At least we're getting along." I smiled. He nodded.

"So, are you really not feeling well?" He asked. "Or did you just want to get away from him?" He looked at me. I shrugged.

"I wasn't feeling well because he was around." I muttered. He nodded.

"And your engaged to him?" He asked. I nodded slowly. "Can I see the ring?" He smiled lightly. I shook my head.

"I don't have one." I said. He chuckled.

"I don't think it counts. And if it does, it shouldn't." He said. I smiled a little.

"I couldn't agree more." I sighed, making him look at me again.

"Something wrong?" He asked. I shrugged.

"It's easier to talk to you over AIM." I admitted. He laughed.

"Because you have longer to make come backs?" He teased. I lightly shoved his shoulder.

"It's not as intimidating." I giggled. He smiled.

"I intimidate you?" He smirked. I smiled.

"You scare me." I corrected. His mouth dropped open, making me laugh.

"I like your laugh." He smiled, making me smile more.

"You are so corny." I giggled, earning a pout from him. I bit my lip gently. "But corny is adorable." I added, smiling.

"You think I'm adorable?" He smirked. I pressed my lips together.

"I might." I giggled. "I might not." I smirked. He pouted a little. I laughed.

"What's so funny?" He asked. I smiled.

"You hate me, yet you seem to like me. Your always smiling, yet always pouting. And," I looked at him. "I don't think that made much sence." I giggled. He chuckled.

"It made a bit of sence." He smiled. I gently nodded.

"That's good." I said, biting my lip again.

"So..." He said, pausing. I looked at him again. "What are you doing tonight?" He asked, smiling widely.
