On Halloween, Maybell was a pumpkin. Marc took us around the neighborhood with his niece Trinity. She was Cinderella. Some of the people thought we were a couple. It was weird… but a little nice.
Trinity gave me a Milky Way. I had almost cried. She was six, the age when it all started for me. Maybell had earned me some candy. When I got home I ate it alone.
I saved the Milky Way until I went to sleep. Nothing happened with my father that night. Nothing never happened on holidays.
