It had to be three, maybe even four in the morning. The only one I knew to be up was Frank. Kina was asleep in my arms. I had this feeling that she'd be safe there. I liked that.
"Psst, Gee?" I heard Franktry to whisper.
"Yeah, Frankie?" I whispered back.
I heard him smile, "Good, you're up."
"Need something?" I asked.
"Well, I wanted to talk to you..." he said, trailing off a bit.
"About?"
He laughed a little, "A little more privately. I don't want anyone else to hear or wake anyone up, for that matter."
"Okay, kitchen?" I suggested.
"Mhm."
I unraveled my arms from around Kina and slid out of our bunk. I slipped into the kitchen behind Frank.
"What is it, Frankie?" I asked him, grabbing a glass of water.
He sighed as I turned back toward him.
"Frank?"
"Gerard, I have a confession to make..." he said.
I smirked, "You're not in love with me are you?"
He laughed a bit, "Gerard, I'm serious."
"Sorry, Frankie. What is it?" I asked him.
He pushed his hair back, "Well, I kind of like someone..."
"Who Frank?" I asked, frantically, beginning to get nervous that it may be Kina.
He looked into my eyes for a long moment before answering.
"Sam."
I grinned, "That's adorable, Frankie."
"No. No, it's not, Gee. She's with Brendon," he said, sadly.
"Well, things change. I mean, she could end up liking you, Frank," I told him reasuringly.
He looked at me, "Have you seen those two?"
"Well, yeah, I guess. And I don't really know Sam all that well, nor do I really know Brendon, but they don't seem that--"
"Gee, they're perfect," he said.
I laughed, 'Frankie, haven't you ever heard, there's no such thing as perfect."
He laughed, dryly, staring at his bare feet, "Shmendon is perfect."
"Who said Shmank can't be twice as perfect?" I smirked.
He looked at me confused, "How do you get more perfect than perfect?"
I shrugged, "What are we really comparing it to, when nothing is perfect to begin with?"
"Gee, you're confusing me."
I scratched the back of my neck, "I'm confusing myself."
"Well, what should I do?" he asked me.
"Truthfully, I don't know. But, If I were you, I would just lay it on her," I told him.
"How?"
" 'Sam, I like you.' Maybe seal it with a kiss?" I suggested.
"Gee, seriously!"
I smiled, wiggling my eyebrows at Frank, "Sugar, I am being serious."
He just giggled his little Frank giggle that made him the Frank we know and love.
"I'm gonna go back to bed. We can talk more tomorrow," I told him.
He nodded and yawned, "Okay, Gee."
With that we went back to our bunks. I got in and noticed Kina was awake.
"Hey, babe," I smiled.
"Hey, Gee," she smiled, back.
"Why are you up?"
She shrugged, "I woke up, then listened in on you and Franks little convo."
"How much did you hear?" I asked.
She nodded once, "Enough. Frank likes Sam."
"What do you think about it?" I questioned.
"I really don't know. All I know is that Sam think Frank is one fine man," she laughed.
"Does he have a chance?"
She shrugged, "I doubt it, but anything is possible."
"Not anything," I laughed.
She shook her head, smiling, "Night, Gee."
"Night, Kina," I whispered, kissing her cheek, as we both drifted into asleep.
