Love's Requiem

Burning Cupid

“You know what I could I do,” I began telling Jack while I was watching cartoons in the back of the bus with him.

“Share the Nutella with me?” He said reaching for the jar in my hands.

“Owe!” Jack exclaimed as I smacked his hand with the spoon.

“Never take a pregnant lady’s Nutella… ever!” I told him as I put on the soccer report.

“So what are you going to do again about the baby?” Jack asked me.

“Well I could go to Spain and tell Ronaldo it’s his baby. And then I’d marry him and live happily ever after with the hottest man in the universe.”

“I thought you and him decided to see other people since he went to Madrid?” Jack asked cocking and eyebrow.

“This is true…” I paused to think, “Iker Casillas is pretty hot, and I wouldn’t mind tapping that for the rest of my life.” I grinned at the TV.

“Right I don’t know who that is, and I don’t think I want to. I don’t like you when you’re all good hormonal.” He said getting up and going to the front of the bus.

“You just are jealous cause you think he’s hot!” I shouted as Alex walked in.

“Who is?”

“Iker Casillas.” I told him, letting him take some of my Nutella.

“Of course you let him fucking have some!” Jack exclaimed as he came back with a soda.

“I have to share with him, how do you think he gets paid for being my space heater?” I asked with a raised eyebrow. “Plus he’s like my scrawny, pale, Cristiano.”

“Who can’t play soccer.” Alex added.

“Exactly, wait what the fuck do I see in you again?” I joked.

“I have good hair.” He explained.

“Well anyway,” I giggled as I went back to paying attention to the TV.

Alex and I after three weeks were finally back to where I always liked us to be. Together, but no titles no bells or whistles, just him and me nothing else nothing more. I was happy, he was happy and I think everyone else was happy that they no longer had to deal with him and I at each other’s throats. Finally touring was fun again like when I first started working with all time low. And yes, me being pregnant was still being kept under wraps from everyone not even Jesse knew yet.

“What are you up to?” Rian asked walking to the front of the bus while we were on the way to Sydney, the tour was only a few days left.

“Checking dates.” I told him scrolling through emails and my phone.

“For what?”

“Disembodied is having two reunion shows and I want to make sure I can make to one of the dates.” I explained, as I quickly wrote down the dates of the disembodied shows on a napkin.

“Who?”

“Disembodied? Revolutionized the hardcore scene in the 90’s? Any of this ringing a bell?” I asked him looking up to see a dumbfounded looking Rian.

“Yeah, sure Bella.” He nodded sitting across from me with his laptop.

“How’s the love of my life doing?” I asked him.

“Kara’s doing good.” He chuckled.

“Yes!” I shouted as I realized not only would I be able to make the show, it would be our day off in Massachusetts I jumped up and began doing my victory dance and chanting that I’m awesome when Alex and Jack came walking to the front.

“Why is she doing the victory dance?” Jack asked while I danced.

“Quick Jack attack, bust a move!” I exclaimed bumping hips with him as I continued.

“Some band that I haven’t heard of is having shows and I take it she’s able to go to one.” Rian explained.

“Fuck I better order my ticket or something fast!” I exclaimed jumping back down to the table.

“Who's playing Bella?” Alex asked me as he sat down next to me.

“The mother fucking Acacia strain, Disembodied, and a few bands I think I’ve heard of.” I told him, as I went to the online ticketing site.

“Get me one too.” He told me as he wrapped his arms around me resting his head on my shoulder.

“Are you sure about that?” I asked him, “I mean Jack has to go regardless cause he promised he’d go with me to see the Acacia strain at least once.” I explained.

“Gee thanks for telling me I was going all along.” Jack huffed.

“You said it!” I told him.

“Bella I want to go.” Alex told me, changing the ticket amount to three.

“Alright, but I’m warning you you’re probably not going to like it.” I told him as I purchased the tickets. “Is there anyone else who wants to go to the Acacia strain and Disembodied show?” I shouted.

No one said anything.

“That’s a no.” I mumbled as I went and purchased the tickets.

“When’s the show anyway?” Jack asked.

“June 14th, it’s the same say we have off in Massachusetts. Oh man this is going to insane.” I smiled.

“How do you plan on getting the tickets by the way if we’re going right back on tour again a week after we get off this tour?” Jack asked me.

“Printable tickets Jack attack, god bless technology.” I told him with a smile.

“Jesus I think she’s more happy about this than she was when she met bleeding through.” Alex teased.

“You have no idea.” I told him closing my laptop
