‹ Prequel: Everything I'm Not

Love's Requiem

Snuff

“Up.” I said simply to Alex as I yanked the blanket he was wrapped in off.

“I take it you’re still pissed.” Alex mumbled as he stood up and stretched.

“You think.” I retorted as I went to make myself tea while he got ready.

As he drove down the street later on, I still remained silent and looked out the window.

“Look I’m sorry Bella, I fucked up.” Alex began finally breaking the silence as we pulled in to the parking lot.

I let out a sigh, “Can you just not be so impulsive, please?” I asked him as I carefully got out of the car.

“Okay,” He chuckled. “I love you.” He told me kissing my forehead as we walked in the building.

“I love you too.” I mumbled with a grin, as we walked in to the doctor’s office only to be called a few minutes after checking in.

“Gaskarth?” The Nurse announced as Alex helped me up.

Once I was settled on the table, the doctor came in.

“Hello Isabella, I’m dr. Sorenson, you’re usual doctor is actually out today.” A new doctor said
as she walked in.

“Okay.” I said hesitantly, as she looked at me.

“7 months?” She guessed.

“5.” I said shaking my head.

“Well let’s have a sonogram shall we.” She smiled, as she prepped me. “When was the last time you had a sonogram Isabella?” She asked as she moved the receptor over my stomach.

“Two months ago, something like that.” I guessed.

“Well a lot’s changed since then.” She smiled, hitting the lights. “Here’s the heartbeat… and here’s the second heartbeat.” She paused.

“Second?” Alex and I both said in shock.

“No one told you that you’re pregnant with twins?” She asked us.

“They said it was too soon to tell last time. And because my job always has me traveling, I didn’t really do monthly check ups.” I explained.

“Well,” She began turning the lights back on. “Congratulations you’re having twins. Would you like to know the sex?”

“No.” Alex and I both blurted out.

“No problem, I’ll be waiting for you in my office.” She said excusing herself so I could clean the jelly off my stomach.

“Jesus Christ once wasn’t enough to sperminate me?” I asked Alex making him laugh.

“Told you I was god.” He chuckled as we walked out.

“Does this mean we have to pick more names?” I groaned. “Cause the El Classico is on today and I don’t want to miss it.” I added.

“I’ll wait till after the game.” He laughed.

“Finally.” I sighed in relief as we walked in to the office.

The doctor gave me another type of vitamin to take, as well as a list of things I should and shouldn’t do since I was now more than half way through the pregnancy now.

“You sure you want to do this tour?” Alex asked me as we drove home.

“Of course, I don’t see this as a biggie. When you go to Europe in November is when I’ll go home.”

“I don’t know Bella, something’s telling me to make you stay home.”

“Chill Gaskarth.” I told him coolly.

“You know technically now you’re Gaskarth too.” He pointed out.

“License and passport isn’t in yet,” I replied. “But I made you a citizen boy!” I exclaimed in a southern accent.

“My refugee wife, helped me get citizenship man if that isn’t irony.”

“You love it.”

“So how’d it go?” Jesse asked me as we walked in to see them heating up left over pizza for breakfast.

“Funny you should ask.” Alex began.

“What?”

“Well just so happens that Alex’s demon seed knocked me up double.” I explained.

There was a brief pause while I guess they tried to figure out what that was supposed to mean.

“You’re fucking having twins?” Jesse shouted in shock.

I nodded my head as the three ran and hugged us all at once.

“I’m scared.” Frankie told me honestly.

“I’m not. If they’re boys they’ll be Mario and Luigi.” I told him seriously.

“What if they’re girls?” Alex asked curiously.

“Peach and Daisy.”

“Leave him and get with me!” Frankie exclaimed.

After we ate and Alex and I told our parents the news, I wobbled in to the living room to watch the El Classico, when Jesse, Frankie and Mike came in.

“No, no, no whatever it is it can wait!” I exclaimed already knowing something was up.

“Bella,” Frankie began.

“No, no the line ups, the line ups!” I screeched as I saw them reach for the remote on the table.

“Time to go shopping.”

“I don’t want to go shopping I want to watch Gerard Pique and Ronaldo no you can’t do this to me! I’m pregnant with twins!” I said as I busted out crying.

“Is she legit crying?” Alex shouted from the kitchen.

“I think so.” Jesse said in shock as I sobbed.

“Jesus B is football this important?” Frankie asked as I got up and waddled to the kitchen.

“Alex!” I sobbed.
