Love's Requiem

"Oh my god Bella!" Kara exclaimed hugging me after Alex and I took our coats off, "Jesus take me to Croatia so I can come back looking like a model." She said looking at me.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You look good." She smiled.

"Oh thank you, you look amazing as always." I smiled as I hugged Rian and Zack.

"Jesus listen to that accent." Rian and Zack laughed.

"I know, I know Jack hasn't let me not forget it." I whined.

"How are you Bella?" Rian asked me a little while after wards and him, Jack, and Kara were
in the kitchen having a drink while Alex was talking to some people inside somewhere.

"I'm pretty good, I mean fuck how can I not be?" I laughed,

"For the record I told him to get it in purple." Jack added.

"I figured." I laughed shaking my head.

I ended up not really drinking that much that night, I wish I could say the same about Alex who was far gone by the time the ball had dropped.

"Night guys!" I shouted as I helped Alex out the front door later on when I decided we'd be better off going home.

"You sure that you don't just want to stay here?" Kara asked me as she walked with me out the door.

"Yeah, I got this." I assured her. "Happy new year." I said hugging her again after I had Alex in the back seat.

"Happy new year Bella." She smiled, as she headed inside and I headed to drive back to Alex's house.

"Bella," Alex slurred while I was holding him up and trying to unlock the front door at the same time.

"What's up love?" I asked him.

"Are you going to leave me and move back to Croatia?" He asked, as I opened the door.

"What? of course not! Why would you think that?"

"Because like when you were there you were so happy, like fuck I don't think I've ever seen you that happy before."

"No Alex, two kinds of happy." I assured him, "I could never leave you I love you Alex."

"I love you too Bella, so much." He said as I watched him fall on to the couch and pass out.
I smirked, as I took off his coat and shoes as well as bring the garbage can next to him incase he had to puke during the night. I went upstairs to get the comforter off of his bed so I could cover him with it. After I made sure he was okay, I headed back upstairs to change in to my pajamas and sleep.

"Don't let me drink anymore." Alex groaned as I came downstairs the following afternoon. He was slumped over the garbage can vomiting.

"I tried warning you, but you know how you get." I laughed as I went to the kitchen to get him a glass of water and some aspirin.

"Ugh." He grunted, while I rubbed his shoulders and kissed his temple.

"We have to be at your parents in two hours," I reminded him, "I'm going to shower can I get you anything?"

"A new body?"

"But I really like the one you have." I frowned, making him smile.

"I love you Bella." He told me as he went to kiss me.

"Brush first." I exclaimed leaping up making him laugh.

"Fine," He sighed as I headed to shower.

"Now can I have a kiss?" Alex asked me while we were driving to his parents' house.

"Duh." I laughed as I leaned over and kissed him.

"Thank you." He nodded, "What's that?" He asked looking at the bag in my lap.

"Presents for you parents for Christmas and from Croatia as well as one of the photo albums Jack and I put together from the trip."

"You really know how to keep them happy don't you?"

"Yup." I smiled proudly.

Alex's parents were happy to see us, even though Alex's mom pointed out that it looked like Alex had gained wait. Which was an obvious seeing as my grandma was dead set on the idea that he never ate. After we had desert we looked through the photo album and we gave them their gifts.

"Well it looks like you both had a nice trip." Alex's mom smiled, "Bella this is very pretty
where did you get it?" She asked noting my locket.

"Oh a friend of mine in Croatia had given it to me." I explained as she opened it and looked at the pictures.

"You were an adorable little girl," She smiled, as she closed it.

"Thanks." I blushed as I saw Alex eyeing the locket suspiciously.

Oh man was I going to hear it when we got home.

"What the fuck Bella?" Alex exclaimed the second he closed the front door behind us.

"What?" I winced as I heard him.

"Why didn't you say anything, who gave it to you?" He went on, while I stood their feeling like a kid getting yelled at my their parents.

"Niko gave it to me, and I didn't think it was a big deal I mean I've worn it since I've been here it's not like I hid it from you."

"But you didn't tell me about it."

"I'm sorry Alex." I frowned knowing I was wrong.

"Please, please, please just don't hide stuff from me like that?" He asked as he cupped my face.

"I won't I'm sorry I didn't tell you." I said looking in to his eyes.

"Okay," He nodded flashing me his grin, "I love you."

"I love you too." I smiled as he leaned in and kissed me.
