‹ Prequel: Everything I'm Not

Love's Requiem

Dangerous

I ended up staying in Baltimore for the next two weeks, until I had gotten an email saying we had a tour in February. Then I had to head back to New York and get everything ready. I spent a week in New York packing and getting paper work sorted out as well as booking the necessary flights, hotels and making sure the busses were set up. It was going to be a short month tour of Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

"Bella's happy she has work again." Rian laughed while we were all at Alex's two days before we were to be leaving for the tour. They were having a small rehearsal while I was still making sure everything was set up and ready.

"You have no idea." I mumbled still working on my laptop. "I'm thinking about maybe asking them to give me other bands to go out with while you're not on tour."

"But then you'll have too much work and go crazy." Jack pointed out.

"That is true, but I've also debating about maybe getting a job at Zumiez or something since now I have a car and can drive to the Long Island mall."

"That's a win, win free clothes." He laughed.

As hectic as the next two days, nothing amounted to what happened the day we left. Our first flight was delayed which made us three hours behind schedule when we did finally arrive. It also had us waiting in the airport for five hours.

"What boring books do you have with you this time?" Jack asked me while I was reading quietly on the floor next to Vinny who was struggling to get Wifi signal.

"Just some book I picked up in Croatia."

"Teach me Croatian." He exclaimed plopping down next to me.

"Have Alex teach you." I told him.

"He knows it?"

"He knows enough."

"Alex teach me Croatian." Jack shouted to Alex who had just came back from running to starbucks with Rian.

"Hvala, and Kurac that seriously is all you need to know." Alex told him making me crack up.

"What does that mean?" Jack asked me.

"Thank you, and dick."

"You suck." He mumbled going to bother Vinny.

The tour went by incredibly fast for some reason, unlike most tours where they usually felt like forever because you were over seas. During the tour, I stayed in contact with everyone back in Croatia and also had Monica busting my balls over the wedding and everything involving it. Meanwhile I also had to work on getting everything ready for the following tour we had almost directly after this one.

"You work too much." Jack pointed out while I was busy on the bus sending emails to the bus people as well as making hotel reservations on my laptop.

"Well I need to pay rent and I like clothing and food so I have to." I mumbled making him shake his head.

"She's only happy if she's stressing over work." Alex explained walking on the bus.

"Exactly." I nodded, going back to work.

I had a week in between the two tours. I went back to New York the following day we had came back from New Zealand. And already had to start doing the usual routine of laundry and repacking.

"Just fucking measure me!" I complained to Jesse two days after coming home.

"I'm trying I don't even know who to read this thing!" Jesse defended. "Can't we get your mom or my mom to do this?"

We currently were trying to get my measurements for me to send to Monica for the new dress she had picked out for me to wear for the wedding.

"Just wrap it around and tell me the number it stops on." I explained.

He read me then numbers while I put them in to my phone and sent them to Monica when we had finished.

"So can I be your hot date for this wedding?" Jesse asked me while we were going through my tour check list.

"That job has been already filled by Alex." I smiled.

"I should have figured, you two are so cute together it's fucking disgusting." He joked.

"So you've told me a million times." I laughed shaking my head. "Okay I think I have everything." I added zipping up my suitcase, and leaving it by the door.

The next day, I drove to Alex's house where the bus met us maybe an hour after I had gotten there to take us to the first stop in Connecticut. Everyone was stoked for this tour because it pretty much was made up of bands that we were all friends with Cobra starship, hit the lights, and the Maine.

"I wish we had yellow food coloring just to add insult to injury." I told Jack while him and I were filling up our super soakers with warm water, as we made our way to the first venue.

"I do too but you have to worry about ruining people's clothes." Jack laughed.

"Bella what are you doing with a super soaker?" Alex asked coming to the back of the bus.

"What super soaker?" I asked blankly.

"The one you're holding."

"I'm not holding a super soaker."

"Bella I can see it as clear as day."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Why do I bother sometimes?" He sighed shaking his head as he went back to the front of the bus.

"You're my hero." Jack laughed as we wrapped the water guns in my blanket within my bunk.

The first day of the tour I was helping Vinny carry out the huge containers of merch to set up inside the venue. When I heard someone behind me talk to us.

"Nice shoes," I heard a familiar, sarcastic voice say behind me.

"Woke up today around 6 in the morning violently shaking, remembering what she once
saw. She bared it alone, so she carried on. She seeks to find the answers for the reasons her life did not turn out more like a movie!" I began shouting as I continued following Vinny in to the venue.

"You're still going to do that?" Vinny laughed once we were where the merch table was going to be set up.

"It's my god given right to." I explained as we began setting up.
