Love's Requiem

After the show and once we were on the road I decided to finally take off the bandages of my tattoo so Alex could see it and so I could wash it.

"Wow Bella it looks great." Alex told me while he helped me wash it over the sink.

"I want to see!" Jack shouted jumping up from the couch and going behind Alex. "Not bad."

He added before he went to sit.

"It kind of hurt but after the first hour I was used to it." I explained after I finished taking care of
it and then changed in to my pajamas.

The rest of the tour, Gabe actually would play a midtown song every set which had me happy for the whole tour. It was just his new found nickname for me I wasn't too thrilled about.

"Dalmatian sex fiend how goes it?" Gabe asked me one morning while we were all heading out to get breakfast towards the last few days of the tour.

"Why do you call me that?" I groaned.

"You're Dalmatian and according to Alex you're a sex fiend." He said simply.

"Alex!" I screeched.

"I didn't say it that way!" Alex defended.

"Ugh!" I mumbled going to sit with Rian.

By the time the tour ended it was already mid- April, I went back to New York while Alex and the guys went back to California to finish the new album in time for its summer release. I actually was looking forward to the two month break of having nothing to do until June. I had enough stuff to take care of with my family until July when Monica's wedding was going to be. Two weeks after being home, it was my mom's birthday and Jesse and I were on the way to my parent's house.

"So why did you insist on coming again?" I asked Jesse as he got in to my car.

"One the cake you said you made sounded amazing, two I like how the tables have now turned and you can actually pick me up." Jesse laughed as I drove down the street.

"Makes sense." I shrugged.

"So when's your next tour?" he asked me.

"Not until after I get back from Croatia in July." I smiled.

"Vacation much?"

"It's going to be epic seeing as I've been on the road non-stop since February."

"Sucks for you I'm leaving in two weeks."

"Sure it does." I mumbled.

Dinner at my parents was fine, my mom loved her presents. Alex had even called to wish her a happy birthday, and after dinner my parents, Niko and his girlfriend Angela, Jesse and myself were discussing going to Croatia in two months.

"Wait so you're not going?" I asked my mom confused.

"We can't get off of work." My mom frowned.

"So it's just going to be the four of us?"

"Yup."

"Awesome!" I exclaimed giving Niko a high five. "I mean that blows." I added, making Jesse
laugh.

It was a week later while I was spending my Friday home watching the James Bond movie marathon when someone was banging on my door. When I got up to answer in walked Jesse, Frankie, and our friend Mike who had just taken over drums in Emmure.

"Oh what do I owe this visit to?" I said sarcastically letting the three of them in and shutting off
the TV.

"We need a huge favor." Mike began as they sat on the couch. "You know how in a few days we're going out with Unearth?"

"Let me guess tour manager has an emergency and you need me to fill in or sell merch?" I asked.

"Nope."

"You need a roadie?" I asked.

"No." Frankie said in a barely whisper and then began coughing.

"Jesus Frankie you sound horrible." I said going in the kitchen to make him a cup of tea.

"He has pneumonia", Mike shouted to me as I came back in giving the mug to Frankie.

"Which is why we're here."

"Oh I'll do it." I said realizing what they were asking me.

"What?" Jesse and Mike both exclaimed.

"Really?" Jesse asked.

"Yeah, of course I mean why wouldn't I?"

"Cause you have horrible stage fright?" Mike asked me.

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"It has everything to do with it."

"Wait, what do you think we're asking you to do?" Jesse interrupted.

"Take care of Frankie while you're on the road."

"We want you to fill in for Frankie on the road." He corrected.
