Love's Requiem

"So you're sure you want to do this and she won't freak out?" Jack asked me as we made our way to the mall.

"Knowing Bella she's going to freak either way so I don't have much of a choice." I laughed.

"Are you waiting till Croatia to ask her?"

"I don't know maybe, I already talked to her dad about it so I might even ask her after her set next week."

"You tell your parents yet?"

"Yup." I nodded as we walked in to the jewelry store.
Incase you haven't figured it out yet, we were going shopping to find Bella an engagement ring. That's right I was ready to make her mine forever, I only hope she was too.

"What do you think of that one?" I asked Jack pointing to a ruby engagement ring.

"Why not a regular diamond one?" Jack asked confused.

"Bella's far from regular." I chuckled, "Do you think she'd like it?"

"Well yeah." He nodded as an attendant walked over and I set up my order for the ring.

I ended up cutting it a little too close because it was going to be ready the day of her show, I'd have to come and pick it up on my way to the venue that day.

"You know maybe you should take after Alex." Kara said with a smirk to Rian who was in the middle of eating.

We were all hanging out at my house the night before Bella's show.

"Maybe you should fight guys like Bella does then we'll talk." Rian joked making everyone laugh.

"Which is surprising Jesse and I made bets about how many fights she was going to get in to on the tour, so far we both lost." I chuckled.

"How many so far?" Jack asked.

"None."

"That doesn't sound like Bella." Zack laughed.

"Well she's been hanging out with John a lot she said so that's probably why."

"So is she cool with Lisa going tomorrow?" Kara asked me.

"Yeah, her and Lisa are cool now. Bella knows she's just a really good friend and has no
problem with that."

"Or at least that's what she tells you." Jack joked.

"No she is, if she wasn't she wouldn't do it."

"I swear Bella's like the patron saint of touring and girlfriends." Kara laughed. "She puts up with all of your shit and has no problem with situations that would make even the calmest of girlfriend freak."

"That's Bella for you." I shrugged.

"So are you nervous at all?" Zack asked me.

"Why would he be, it's not like she'll say no." Kara laughed.

"Actually, Bella can be complicated so I am a little. I'm just hoping she doesn't freak out."

"She does do that sometimes." Jack nodded, "I have one question though."

"What's that?"

"So you realize her parents will catch on that you're not Croatian the second their daughter
becomes Isabella Gaskarth right?"

"We'll have to tell them but I figure I'll wait for her and I to find something to do. And besides her dad already gave me the okay."

"That should be interesting none the less."

The next day I went to pick up the ring before I picked up Jack and we headed to the venue where we were meeting up with everyone else.

"Have you heard from Lisa yet?" I asked Jack who was messing around with his phone.

"She told Kara she was going to meet us there cause she had something to take care of before." He told me as we reached the venue.

As we got out of the car we spotted Rian, Kara, and Zack getting out of Rian's car. As we all headed in to the venue after checking in with security, there was a small crowd of people when we headed to the dressing room area backstage.

"What's going on?" Rian asked.

"I don't know." I shrugged as we got closer.

"Bella stop, you're better than this!" I heard Jesse say, which made me approach the group
faster as Jack shot me a nervous look.

"You're lucky you're Alex's friend, or I would have had you laid out on a fucking stretcher by now!" I heard Bella shout as she was dragged down the hallway by Jesse and some guy.

As the small crowd dissolved Lisa was standing there, looking a little shaken up.

"Alex!" Lisa exclaimed as we all walked up to her.

"What happened?" I asked confused by what I had just seen.

"Uh well I got here a little earlier than you and all I did was ask Bella if you were here yet and then she kind of snapped at me saying I shouldn't even be here." She explained.

"What? That doesn't sound like Bella at all." Jack said shaking his head.

"Are you sure you didn't say anything to her that she might have taken the wrong way?" I asked her.

"Yes, Alex why would I do that?"

"She might just be nervous I guess." I shrugged.

"You're fucking joking right?" I heard a voice say from behind me.

I turned around to see Bella's friend John.

"You're going to buy all that shit just like that? Un-fucking-believable." He went on shaking his head and going to where Jesse had taken Bella.

"Are you okay?" I asked Lisa who looked like she was scared.

"I guess." She said as I saw Jack roll his eyes.

"I don't know about you, but I'm going to go see Bella." Jack said heading in the same direction as John.

"I'll meet you in there I'm just going to get a beer with Lisa." I told him, as I headed to the bar on the main floor while Jack, Rian, Kara, and Zack went to go see Bella.

"So nothing else happened between you and Bella?" I asked Lisa as the first band started.

"Yes Alex, all I did was ask if you were here yet that's all."

"It doesn't fit why she would just snap at you like that."

"Maybe she's uncomfortable with us being friends?"

"No she had no problem with that." I told her as Jack and everyone showed up.

"Can you guys stay here with Lisa while I go talk to Bella?" I asked them.

"She's a little busy right now." Jack said as Rian and Kara glanced at him nervously.

"Doing what?"

"Vocal warms ups and she had an interview to do."

"Oh." I nodded as we all watched the band play, it was John's band winds of plague almost
two years later and I still couldn't get in to them.

"Tonight the world is ours!" John screamed as they went in to another song.

Towards the end of the intro like a blur of red and blue Bella came bouncing on to the stage mic in hand.

"We're not strangers but we'll never be friends." Bella growled as she jumped along side John, and interacted with the crowd.

"Bella." I said putting my beer on the bar and running backstage.

"Witness an uprising, see our strength." Bella and John shouted together.

"Arise!" John finished the song. "Good night Baltimore, Emmure is up next!" John finished as
Bella came walking off stage, while the crew walked on.

"Bella!" I shouted as I saw her look over at me and grab my hand.

"I need to talk to you." She said as she lead me in to the hallway away from the stage.

"I missed you." I told her as I went to kiss her, as she quickly pulled away.

"Alex listen Lisa-" She began but I cut her off.

"Listen it's okay I know you're not her biggest fan and all, and I know you were just probably nervous." I told her as I wiped the swear from her forehead.

"What are you talking about?" She asked giving me a confused look.

"Lisa told me what happened, I know."

"And you're perfectly okay with that?" She said looking taken back.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Are you fucking kidding me?" she shouted. "Un-fucking-believable!" She said hitting the wall as she spun away from me. "So everything she told me is the truth then?" She asked.

"Bella 5 minutes!" Jesse shouted to her.

"What are you talking about?" I asked her confused, "That she was looking for me why is that
a big deal?" I asked her taking her hand again.

"What?"

"She said she showed up early and asked you where I was and you flipped out on her."

"Oh did I now." she smirked, "And you believe all of that?"

"Well again I know you're probably stressed out and nervous."

"Alex, Lisa fucking tried to start a fight with me, how fucking stupid are you?" She spat at me
shaking her head. "She sucker hit me, and I was held back when I tried to hit back. You actually think I would just randomly get in someone's face?" She asked me.

"Well I mean I talked to Lisa first so I-"

"You never even bothered to come after me, Jack did! Rian and Kara did! Even Zack did!
And where were you? Buying Lisa a beer to congratulate how she sucker punched your girlfriend." She told me shaking her head as I saw her eyes get glassy.

"Bella!" Jesse shouted.

"Whatever." She said as she ran to the stage.

Everyone but Lisa soon joined me by the side of the stage, I was still going over in my head everything that had just happened with Bella.

"So did you talk to Bella?" Jack asked me as we watched them preform.

"Yeah." I said not taking my eyes of her.

"And?"

"She's pissed at me."

"She has every right to be."

"I know I'm really going to get it when I get back home." I frowned. "I just, I never though Lisa would do that."

"Well make sure you tell Bella that."

"Come on Baltimore spread that shit!" Bella shouted to the crowd during the breakdown.

"She seems happy." Rian commented.

"Alright guys, this next song is for anyone here who's be fucked with today, trust me I'm feeling all of you guys. This is tales from the burg." Bella said going in to the next song a few minutes later.

She went through the first verse and slowly walked over to our side of the stage.

"Tell me how much lower can you go in life?  You fucking bitch." She growled as she hunched over in to the crowd with while she gripped on to her thigh. "I'm so over it, I'm fucking over it. I'm so over it, I'm fucking over it." She repeated over in her normal voice as she stared right in to my eyes.

"You're so fucked." I heard Jack mumble.

When they finished their set, she took off from the other side of the stage. I headed after her in to the dressing room to hopefully talk to her about what happened.

"Bella, listen to me." I began as I ran in to her dressing room to see her back to me.

"You chose her over me, before you even heard my side of the story." She told me, her voice cracked.

"Bella it wasn't like that."

"Yes it was." She said turning around, she was crying. For the two years her and I have
been dating I've never seen her cry once, she'd always stop herself. I was in serious trouble.

"Where were you Alex the second you arrived here? Were you with me, no you weren't you were with Lisa making sure she was okay."

I tried to get her in my arms and wipe her cheeks but she pushed me away.
"It's over." She told me as she let out a small sob.

"Wh-what?" I choked out as I felt my heart stop. "No Bella there's no need to-"

"Yes there is Alex, loyalty is something important to me and you well you don't have that for me at least." She said as she reached in to her pocket.

"Bella please, I love you." I begged her.

"Here's the money for the tickets to Croatia, and an extra hundred to change your name to Jesse's on the ticket." She said handing me the money. "Now please just leave." She said storming past me, and out of the room still sobbing.

I stood there for a good minute trying to grasp what had just happened, I have an engagement ring in my back pocket for a girl that just gave me 600 hundred bucks and told me it's over. I walked out of the room still in pure shock over what had just happened as I bumped in to Jack.

"Everything okay, you look like you've just seen a ghost." Jack told me as he stared at me.
"Where's Bella?"

"She took off, she was crying it was bad." I told him as I felt my eyes get watery.

"What happened?"

"She broke up with me, and gave me money for the tickets. It's over." I told him showing him the money still in my hand.

"She ended it?" He exclaimed.

"What?" Rian, Zack and Kara said in shock as they showed up.

"I think we should leave." I said as I walked out of the venue.
