Love's Requiem

I was in my bunk, checking my email because Jesse had told me he sent the pictures he had taken in Croatia to me, Alex was out with friends and Rian, while Jack and Zack were eating in the front.
I was going through and saving the pictures when I got to one I didn't even know Jesse had taken. It was of Niko and I in Zadar, I was sitting on his lap, with my forehead pressed to his, and he had his arms around my waist.

"Whatcha up to?" Jack exclaimed jumping in to my bunk.

"Nnn-nothing." I stuttered closing my laptop quickly.

"You were watching porn weren't you?" Jack smirked.

"No, I was looking at what I'm getting you for you birthday." I lied.

"Really?" He said as his eyes went wide.

"Yup." I nodded.

"Well I'll leave you to your business then." He said leaving and closing the curtain again.

I opened my laptop back up again, and waited for the screen to light up again.

"Gabe-" I heard Jack start as he popped his head behind me, "Gabe called asking for you." He finished as I saw him looking at the picture.

"Shit." I mumbled.

"Bella what the fuck?" He said as I closed my laptop and he sat with me.
Just as he sat down, I felt my cell phone go off.

"Who do you want to be with Bella?" He asked me as I checked to see what it was; it was then I felt my heart stop. My phone was going off with a reminder, I didn't remember anything coming up today important but I checked it anyway, and what did it say? "Period". I had absolutely no signs of it, and already was a day late. I was fucked.

"Earth to Bella!" Jack said giving me a nudge.

"Huh what?" I said shaking my head.

"Let's go take a walk." He said getting up and helping me out.

"Where are you two going?" Alex asked us as we headed to the front.

"She wants to see if she can get a free Alexisonfire hoodie and I have to be the muscle when they tell her no." Jack lied as we left. "Are you and Niko together?"

"No." I said still preoccupied.

"Did you and him, well you know?" He asked me.

"Well," I began,

"Bella! He's married!"

"Look why does any of it matter? And they divorced." I told him.

"Who gave you that ring?" He went on.

"Bella! Yo girl what's up?" Gabe said springing out of nowhere making Jack and I jump.

"Hey Gabe," I said awkwardly, as I glanced up at Jack.

"So you never told me who gave you that sick bling on your finger?" Gabe asked me, and
then it clicked, Alex.
I thought I was going crazy before when I though he kept staring at my ring, but I get it now. He set the two of them up to find out whatever they could about what had happened in Croatia and about the ring. Why? I have no idea but then again I was too annoyed to think straight.

"My boyfriend." I said, as a way to see if my theory was right.

"What?" The two of them exclaimed.

"I thought you said Alex didn't give it to you?" Gabe asked,

"Alex didn't but Alex isn't my boyfriend, him and I broke up I'm with someone else now." I explained.

"We should head back now." Jack exclaimed pulling me to the bus. "I thought you said you
weren't together?"

"I lied only cause I was afraid you'd get mad. I'm really happy with him Jack. Please don't tell
Alex though I want to tell him myself." I lied, and put on an act.

"Fine I guess, as long as you're happy." He sighed shaking his head as we boarded the bus.

"That was fast." Alex commented as we walked on.

"Couldn't find them." We both said as we headed to our bunks.

The next morning we had a day off, and I was hoping we could find a walmart, as well as a UPS store because I had Niko's birthday present to send.

"Whatcha got there?" Rian asked me that morning as I was packing everything in the box and taping it shut.

"Birthday present for a friend in Croatia." I told him as I wrote the address.

Alex was busy glaring daggers at me from the table, just as I headed to the back to get dressed. When I headed back to the front everyone but Alex was gone.

"Where'd everyone go?" I asked him.

"Get breakfast." Alex said bluntly.

"Oh, well I'm off to the UPS store, if you want to come its a few blocks away." I told him grabbing the box.

"Cause god forbid your new boyfriend doesn't get his present on time." He mumbled.

"Huh?" I asked with a smirk.

"You're fucking with Niko Bella I know everything!" He shouted.

"Am I now?"

"Yes you are, stop playing dumb!"

"I know you set Jack and Gabe up." I told him folding my arms, "And this, my best friend Niko gave to me." I said holding up my hand with the ring.

"What?"

"I'm not dating him, if you wanted to know why didn't you ask me? And why do you care so much about it? You can be so fucking immature sometimes." I told him as I stormed off the bus.

"Then why did you fucking kiss me back?" I heard him shout after me.

When I got back after my run to the UPS store, I still hadn't gotten my period and figured if I was lucky it'd come soon.

"Bella you fucking tricked me!" Jack exclaimed was I got back to the bus where he was waiting outside.

"You did the same! Are we going to Wal-Mart?" I asked him,

"Yeah, let me get everyone, and no more treachery!" He exclaimed going back on the bus while I called Jesse.

"What's up Bella?" Jesse answered.

"I think we have an emergency." I began, as all of a sudden Rian and Zack walked off the bus. "Yeah that's the lyrics to the song." I said.

"Someone just showed up you can't talk in front of right?"

"Yup."

"Text me." He said hanging up.

"What was that all about?" Rian asked me.

"Jesse and Frankie had a bet over some paramore lyrics." I lied as Jack and Alex walked off.

"Okay." He said giving me a weird look as we all left.

I lied and said I had to go the bathroom once we got to Wal-Mart so I could text Jesse without the risk of someone seeing anything.

I'm late. I sent to him as I sat in the stall.

For what? Jesse replied.

As in maybe pregnant.

Oh shit, how long?

Only like a day or two, should I get a test?

No, wait a week if nothing then take a test. And not a word to Niko until you're absolutely sure that you're pregnant.

Alright, thanks Jesse, was the last thing I sent before I left the bathroom.

Before I headed to meet back up with everyone, I bought a test just incase I wouldn't get a chance too if the time came. I hid it in my purse and then headed to where the guys were. Jack and I bought a bead kit so we could make friendship bracelets like we had talked about the other day. That evening Jack and I sat at the table listening to music and making bracelets as we made our way to the next stop.

"How do you say sister in Croatian?" Jack asked me.

"Sestra." I told him, as he made me write it for the spelling.

A half hour later, I had made Jack a red and white one that said BFFF, on it, and he had made me a purple and green one that read Sestra.

"Aw Jack." I smiled as we slipped on the bracelets we gave each other.

"Let's make more!" He told me as we started making some for everyone. "Are you making one for Alex as a peace offering?" Jack asked as I smirked.

"You could say that." I mumbled as I went on making the one for Alex.

"What does kurac mean?" He asked me as Alex came up front to see what we were doing.

"Dick." Alex answered.

"Bella not funny!" Jack exclaimed while I sniggered, and he gave it to Alex.

I then made one for myself that said ljubav.

"What does that mean?" Jack asked as I slipped it on my wrist.

"Love." I explained as we cleaned up
