‹ Prequel: Everything I'm Not

Love's Requiem

Here in my room

Before heading to the elevator, I stopped in the other rooms to introduce everyone to Niko, and then we headed to the lobby where there was a lounge, however unlike the last hotel there was no bar.

“So,” I began immediately switching to Croatian after him and I took a seat, next to each other.

“You look tired.” He pointed out, as he leaned back in the chair.

“I’m running on three hours of sleep and no nap, been up since 6 am.” I sighed resting my head on his arm.

“That busy?”

“Drinking with Luka yes.” I smirked to myself, as I felt him run his fingers through my hair.

“I’m surprised you’re actually wearing the ring.” He told me as I scratched my nose.

“I think people would be more surprised if I didn’t wear it, I always have it on.”

“So how’s life been Isabella?”

“Eh could be better, could be worse. What about you?”

“Same.” He nodded. “Your brother sent me a picture of you with your chin all messed up. Should I be afraid to ask?” He chuckled.

“I have to kick his ass too.” I mumbled to myself. “I fell and hit it on a dinosaur.” I explained.

“A dinosaur?”

“Yes, a dinosaur.”

“I’m sorry I asked.” He told me making me laugh.

“Jack and Alex are here.” He told me.

“What do you mean?”

“Look,” He said as I felt him move his head, as I glanced to my left and saw Jack and Alex sneak in to the small gift shop they had in the lobby.

“Oh brother.” I mumbled.

“Anything change between the two of you? I see you and him are in the same room that’s a good sign.”

“Yeah, that I get to watch him bang the next girl he brings instead of hear it through the wall while I try to sleep.” I said in a sarcastic tone.

“What happened?”

“Nothing happened!” I said feeling frustrated, “He found out about us, and decided to get back at me right when I wanted to apologize to him. And how did he do it? Every night a girl in his bed or bunk.” I grumbled.

He didn’t say anything just pulled me in to a tight hug, which worked better than any words could.

“I needed that.” I told him, as he let go.

“I think they’re spying on us.” He mumbled.

“Nothing new,” I sighed.

“I can fix it, come on.” He said as he got up and pulled me up, protectively wrapping an arm around my shoulders as we walked to the lobby.

“What are you doing?” I asked him confused as we walked passed the gift shop, where he slowed his pace of walking, and I glanced over to see Alex and Jack quickly grab something, Alex a candy bar and Jack well a box of tampons. I shook my head and let out a chuckle.

“Jack seems like a nice guy.” Niko said as I saw Jack glance over at the sound of his name as we continued walking.

“I can’t date Jack, he’s like my little brother.” I explained catching on to where he was going.

“Well I’m like your brother,” He began,

“You’re a different story, and you know it.” I told him.

“Yeah, I’m hot.” He smirked.

“Oh I’m never going to hear the end of that.” I joked, as we walked outside in to the cold and he tucked me in to his coat and against him. “Leaving me already? It’s only been what two hours? Luka stayed till 3 am!”

“I’m seeing you tomorrow, and Friday.” He told me.

“But I’m already used to you being around again!” I pouted, as we stopped in front of what I
assumed was his car. “Nice ride.” I joked.

He shook his head with a smile, “I will see you tomorrow Isabella, sweet dreams.” He said kissing my forehead softly, as I hugged in to him more. “If you can’t sleep give me a call.” He added.

“Does that mean I can call in like five minutes and you’ll come and get me?”

“Good night.” He laughed.

“Night.” I smiled as he got in to his car and I ran back in to the hotel.

A little short, but I wanted to finish Bella's point of view. The next few chapters are going to be in Jack's point of view.
