‹ Prequel: Everything I'm Not

Love's Requiem

Have faith in me

By Thursday morning Bella was definitely in better spirits, that Luka guy seemed nice even though most of the time he and Bella would speak in Croatian to one another. And for the 5 minutes I spoke to him, Niko was an okay guy. Of course, I noticed right off the bat how Bella’s face lit up when she saw him, and how happy she looked around him, I wish I could say the same for Alex.

“Where are you going?” I asked Alex, as he jumped up from his bed maybe 10 minutes after Bella and left with Niko.

“I’m hungry,” He said.

“There’s a bag of chips on the table.” I pointed out to him.

“Those are Bella’s you know how she gets if you eat her food, plus I want chocolate, let’s go to the gift shop thing downstairs.”

“So we can spy on them.”

“Exa-no!” He defended as we headed downstairs.

Sure enough while we were in the shop, Alex peaked through the window watching Bella who just seemed to have her head on Niko while they talked. After reading through three magazines he was still watching,

“This lame, seriously Alex come on.” I told him nudging him.

“Shit they’re coming this way!” He exclaimed grabbing a chocolate bar while I just grabbed what was on the shelf next to me, unfortunately that happened to be super strength tampons, awkward.

The two of them walked past the gift shop, Bella glancing in while Niko tucked her in to his Jacket with him, while she let out a chuckle at me, until I heard Niko say something I couldn’t understand except I heard my name.

“Did you hear Jack?” I asked Alex as we left.

“I think so.” Alex mumbled looking annoyed.

“Just go to sleep, for all you know she could just be walking him to his car.”

“Or heading to bang him in his car.”

“Ugh!” I groaned not really wanting to see that image seeing as Bella has become one of my best friends.

He mumbled something else as he headed to his room, and I headed to mine. I sent Bella a text asking her if she was coming back any time soon, apparently she was already up in the elevator.

“Sup?” Bella asked as I met her in the hallway a few minutes later.

“For the record I wasn’t spying on you.” I told her, making her smile, and hug me.

“I figured as much.” She said still hugging me. “Is it safe in my room or should I came out in yours tonight?” She asked me.

“If you don’t go to yours he might think otherwise.”

“However I have you and Vinny to vouch that I was in yours.”

“That is true.”

“Eh I’ll just go to mine.” She shrugged, “See you in the morning.” She added as she let go of me and headed down the hall.

The next morning, we had press all morning and the afternoon off which all of us seem to use as a time to nap. I was currently in Alex and Bella’s room with Alex and Vinny.

“Da, doviđenja.” Bella said walking in the room while on the phone, as she hung up.

“Niko?” Alex spat out rolling his eyes.

“Michi, Ivan proposed they’re getting married.” She smiled as she jumped on his bed next to him.

It’s amazing how despite how much of a dick he was being to her; she was still trying to get through to him.

“Bella I was watching that!” Vinny exclaimed as she changed the channel.

“Oh hush, man united game is on.” She said hushing him as that one player that she drools over came on. “Oh how I’d give up my left leg to wash his balls for a living.” She sighed.

“Don’t you feel great knowing she’d rather wash his balls than tell us what to do?” I asked Alex who was trying not to laugh.

“He’s heavenly,” She went on as she sat between Alex’s legs and laid on him.

About 20 minutes in to the game, I glanced over seeing as normally Bella would yell at the screen for most of the game but for some reason it was oddly quite. Why? She was fast asleep cuddled in to Alex, who was running his fingers up and down the side of her face occasionally glancing at her. By 4, she was up and roaming the room again like a crazy person, showering and changing and getting us up and moving to the venue for sound check and set up.
