Love's Requiem

Unfortunately with my luck and Niko’s the morning of the day he was flying in something else paid me a visit.

“How am I supposed to dress hot when I feel like someone took an axe to the lower half of my body?” I asked Jack while I was going through my suitcase that morning.

“Go naked? Pull a Tommy Lee and only wear a trench coat? How the heck should I know?” He mumbled in to the blanket he pulled over his head.

“No help.” I mumbled as I tried to decide on something.

By the time I showered and got dressed, Jack was awake when I walked out of the bathroom.

“No fucking way!” He exclaimed looking at the tee shirt I had on. “I didn’t even know you had an over night sensation shirt.” He chuckled as I slipped on the black sweater I had laying out on my bed.

“Well now you do.” I chuckled as I saw a flash. “Did you just take a fucking picture?” I exclaimed.

“I need proof to show Gabe, hello twitter!” He announced.

“What is this fucking twitter you all keep going on, I don’t understand you people anymore.” I laughed as I slipped my wallet and phone in my jeans pockets. “And for the record, I have three overnight shirts.” I added as I threw on my sunglasses and coat as I left to meet Vinny so we could leave.

“You’re awfully cranky for someone who’s going to see their beau.” Vinny noted while we sat in the cab on the way from the hotel to the airport.

I grumbled and rested my head on the window. When we got to airport, Vinny and I got lost trying to find the gate Niko was supposed to be coming from.

“I know, I know but I have no clue where the fuck we are!” I shouted in to the phone while Niko called to tell me he had gotten his bag.

“Isabella calm down.” Niko urged over the phone. “Just tell me where you are, and I’ll find you.” His calm voice soothed me over the line.

“We’re by the gift shop thingy near jet blue.”

“Okay I’ll be there soon.”

“Jeez maybe while we’re waiting we should get you some Midol.”

“Vinny!” I exclaimed smacking his arm.

“What just a suggestion.” He said flashing me a grin.

“You know you’re lucky I love you as much as I do.” I told him.

“I see how it is.” I heard Niko’s voice say next to me as I turned and looked up to see him standing there.

I didn’t even say anything I just hugged him tightly, as I felt his scruffy moustache on my forehead.

“Ne brinit” He whispered to me.

“Congrats by the way!” Vinny said as we made our way outside to get a cab, “On getting engaged.” He added.

“Thank you,” Niko smiled.

“I’m totally going to give you a heads up bro, Bella here is in major Godzilla mode.”

“Vinny!” I grumbled again, making Niko laugh as a cab stopped for us.

“Hey bros before hoes Belly.”

“You know I’m going to remember all of this the next time you try to hook up with some chick
at a bar.”

“I’m terrified.” He mocked, as I rested my head on Niko as we took off of the hotel.

“I’ll see you when we head to the venue Belly.” Vinny said as we were walking down the hallway to our rooms.

“Okay Vinny, thanks for coming with me.” I said to him as he opened his door.

“So you only tell me now? What the fuck?” I heard Alex shout from the room.

“Here we go,” I mumbled running my hand through my hair as I went straight in to me and Jack’s room with Niko.

“I’m going to guess and say you haven’t told him I was coming?” Niko asked me in Croatian.

“Him and I haven’t exactly been on speaking terms.” I replied taking off my jacket and laying
on my bed as he soon joined me.

“Why not?” He asked taking my hand in to his and kissing it, as I cuddled with him.

“Because he stopped talking to me as soon as I told him about you and I being engaged. I don’t know why, I don’t really care for that matter but it’s been getting on my nerves.” I told him as I closed my eyes.

“Everything gets on your nerves.” He chuckled as his chest vibrated underneath my head.

“Everything except you.” I told him, as I finally kissed him, which made me forget any problems I had. “Much better now.” I told him with a smug grin.

Jack and everyone gave Niko and I some space for the rest of the morning, which both of us greatly appreciated, and by 2 O’clock we were checking out and pilling in to the bus to head to the venue. The ride to the venue was roughly an hour, so Niko and I sat in the back lounge with Vinny and Jack watching a movie while Rian, Zack and Alex were doing god knows what up front.

“Sup dudes?” Alex announced coming in the back about 20 minutes after we had left.

He headed straight towards me and grabbed the acoustic guitar that was behind me.

“Thanks Bella” He mumbled as he tuned it and headed to the front strumming it.

“He’s up to something.” Jack mumbled to me, as I nodded my head.

“I don’t even think I want to ask this time.” I added.

Pretty soon, we heard him howling up front playing a song as well as the sounds of an annoyed Rian who was probably still trying to play video games.

“You can buy her everything she likes. And I’m sure she’ll be obliged to let you steal a kiss maybe even spend the night. Kid all good, just know that she’ll be thinking of me even when she’s with you.” He went on as we all heard him loud and clear.

I rolled my eyes, and felt Niko stiffen next to me.

“Bunk, now.” I told him getting up taking his hand and leading him to my bunk where we both got in and closed the curtain.

I turned on my laptop, and opened itunes so the rest of the ride all Niko and I could hear was some Oasis and Beatles while we talked and lounged in my bunk until we got to the venue.
