Chapter 7

Leigh
I sunk to the floor and sobbed loudly. Troy had obviously heard, and had stepped into the bathroom to see what was wrong.
I motioned for him not to come any closer or to look in the tub, but he didn’t understand. His small, delicate face paled as he saw.
“L-Leigh?” He asked, crouching down next to me, “Who is that?”
“Troy, my handsome, brave Troy.” I pulled him into my arms and hugged him tightly, “It’s Mummy.”
Troy’s eyes watered and he broke free, quickly running out of the room and into the hallway, his arms outstretched. Slowly, I stood, gripping the counter for balance, as the room was spinning, and gradually made my way to the door. I stepped outside and shut the door quickly, glimpsing the mangled body of my Mother for the last time.
