Chasing the Moon

Dear Diary:

Duh, it's Gabriella, and I've finally hit 16! Zach seems to be freaking out over it. It's hilarious watching him act giddy! But seriously, I don't see what he's all happy about. He's like a brother to me. I know he damned me to this fate, but I'd be dead if he hadn't, or so he tells me. He told me he found me in the forest, left for dead by my parents. He doesn't know who they are, but he says he hates them for leaving me all alone as a little baby.

He's amazing, I know he is. And he's taught me all I know about being a vampire. I know he should be like a father to me, but he's more like a brother. A hot step-brother anyway! But that's beside the point. Lately I've been having nightmares about a couple. The woman is crying hysterically and the man is just silent, the bastard. There's a little baby in a crib: a girl. The man loves her, but whenever the woman looks at her she cries, "Why did you make me give her up!"

That's when I wake up, ready to start my day. Misery is a fun thing, to me anyway. Maybe I'm a masochist. But seriously, who likes crying? Well, I do, messed up little Gabby. Oh well, lately I've been crying a lot, too, though I'm not complaining. I feel like something is missing from my life. I don't know, maybe I'm just PMSing or something. That's all I got.
