First impressions
Dear Janet,
I have just arrived and we are now making our way through Ypres to the front line, people are saying about the horror stories they have heard, ha nothing can be that bad. I'm having a great time so far, made lots of friends, Frank is hilarious, but enough about me how are you darling?
I have been thinking about you ever since i arrived, i miss you already, i hope everything is okay at home, and i meant what i said before i left, as soon as i get back we will get married and have a comfy little house in the country side. I Love you Janet.
