Slowdance on the Inside

chapter 9

[Amanda's pov]
The guy sitting at the opposite table from us carried on watching me until his food came, he seemed really familiar but I couldn't work out why.
"Do you know them?" I asked my mother casually as I gestured towards his table.
"Oh yes, they're who I worked with earlier." She replied before calling the waitor over to take our order.
Once we ordered our food I looked back over at him, and his companions, trying once again to work out why he seemed familiar to me.
"Who are they?" I asked.
"Who are who?" She asked looking up at me.
"Those guys," I replied.
"Oh um they're a band, something Sunday. Nice boys," she said as she picked up her glass of water.
"Taking Back Sunday!" I said suprised.
"Yes, that's it." She replied after taking a sip of water.
I suddenly began to feel pretty stupid, how sis I not realise who they were. After all I did own their CD's.
After a while they finished their meal and stood up from their table, as they walked past ours he smiled at me shyly, I did the same in return resulting in my mother 'ooh-ing' and 'aww-ing' embarrassingly.
