Max is a teenage girl who has one friend (a third grader) and lives with her grandmother. When she gets a weird dream about her being a ''Black Parade member'' and being friends with a guy she doesn't even know, she suspects something's up. When her third grade friend, Tom, starts talking about a parade you go to when you die, she decides it's the last straw and tries to put all thoughts of the parade to the back of her mind, but what happens when she follows Tom to an alley one night and she is visited by the very two girls that everyone fears? Will they take her to the Parade? And what if she joins the parade? What will happen? Guess you'll have to find out, huh?
