You Don't Know a Thing About My Sins, How The Misery Begins

Turn Away, Cause I'm Awful...

I sat on the toilet. Mikey was on the sink.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

Time's up. Check results?

I took five different tests. They had to be accurate. I mean it would've been weird if they weren't...

"Ready?" Mikey whispered.

I nodded.

"Okay."

I picked up the first one...

Negative.

The second one...

Negative.

The third one...

Positive?!

What the hell?!

My eyes darted towards the toilet. "I think I'm gonna be sick."

"It's okay Jay," he said. I look at the next test...

Positive.

The last test...

Positive.

I fell to the floor crying but Mikey picked me up.

"It's okay, these tests...they're only 90% accurate." He whispered in my ear. "We have to get you to see a doctor. That's the only way we'll be sure." his whispering in my ear made me feel somewhat better, but still, I didn't want anything to do with this situation. It was too late, already.

I don't want to see a doctor, I thought, I hate the doctors.

the next thing I heard was a car pull up in our driveway. I only knew who it was.

"It's my parents! What are we gonna do with the tests!?"

"Here, put them in the bag." He said calmly.

We heard footsteps coming up the stairs. There was a knock at the door. Mikey stuffed the bag in his backpack thingy.

"Hide in the shower." He mouthed.

I did. He opened the door.

"Yes?" I heard him say.

"Hey have you seen Jas?" It was Victor.

"Umm...no. I'm trying to use the bathroom." He shooed.

"Okay well if you see her...my dad wants her. Okay?"

"Okay." He said and shut the door. "Phew! You can come out now."

"I have to get out of here. They can't find out!" I yelled.

"Calm down babe. We're not 100% sure yet." He said calmly. Again. I followed his example and tried to be calm. I relaxed. Breathing through my nose.

"You go out first." I commanded.

"Okay." He said and he passionately kissed my lips. A soft gentle kiss, letting me know that I should be calm. Well that kiss did the trick.

He left the room. Leaving me alone.

Five minutes passed and I exited the room.

I ran down stairs. All the boys were on the couch. My parents were talking in the kitchen. I decided to go see what they wanted.

"Good afternoon," I greeted them.

My mom looked at me like she sensed what was happening. "Honey, are you okay? You look sick."

"I'm fine. Did you get the stuff?" I asked turning my attention to Dad.

"Um, yeah it's in a bag on the dining room table." He answered.

I stalked over to the dining room, trying not to catch the attention of Mikey. Too bad...He glanced at me while I walked by.

I could fell a sweat trickle down the back of my neck.
