Chapter 2; David's World

I wonder what David's world looks like. Who or what does he see when he looks at me? Does he see me as his brother, or as some kind of stranger always hanging around him? I wonder if he can hear us when we say his name and try to get his attention.

Not knowing what my brother is feeling frustrates me. It's like having someone with whom you really want to connect, to talk to, but to them you are invisible. They walk right by you but can't see you or even hear you.

It's almost as if David was locked in a room and none of us had the key to get him out of there.
