Jersey is a coven of one. Like Alice, she doesn't know who turned her, but she does remember her past life from the day she was born up till now. She is aged at 16 but really is much older (like most vampires. The gift that she brought into this life was her foresight (not like Alice's visions, but just a sense of what will happen), Her abilty to read people and their pats and also gained slight telekinesis. Before ever meeting Carlisle Cullen, she had already adopted the "vegetarian" diet on her own.

In her first life she was Emmett McCarty's younger sister by 3 years. She hasn't seen or heard anything of or from Emmett since the day she was turned. She met Carlisle about a year before Emmett was turned, when he was travelling (though only met Carlisle and Esme.)
