Sunlight (book 2)

Preface-

I stood in the sunlight, staring in horror at the faces around me. They wanted me dead. Me, Eamon, Kyra, all of us... one especially. I protected him, I hid him from their red eyes, their haunting pale faces, their evil smiles. Now, according to them, I've been sentenced to die. The others could leave if they want, but of course Eamon would never leave my side. He didn't understand the words 'leave her to die'. Neither would Kyra, and the others of course would not dare to. Maeve... she always felt like she owed me... now, we would all die. Death didn't scare me, I had already felt it... but I couldn't stare into those horrid faces and not be terrified.

And so, they began to surround us, more than ready to kill...
