I looked at the small white object, i suddenly realized what it was, a pregnancy test, i looked closer and found that it was positive, i could smell Gem's scent all over it, this pushed me over the edge, i scribbled on a piece of paper for George to go to our aunt and uncles and i ran out of the door and followed Gem's scent south down the main road onto the motor-way, by this time i was running on all fours again frantically trying to find out where she had gone, my lungs felt like they were going to explode as Gem's scent got stronger i knew i was close i turned left down Whitefield road and stopped sharply, there straight opposite me was where Gem was being kept, i could smell it.
