Chin Up Love
Not Today
[size=X]I got dressed in black skinnys and a white Emily strange singlet grabbing my cardigan and car keys on the way out I didn’t care if I wasn’t aloud to drive I was not walking or waiting for a bus all the way into the city plus my parents were still asleep.
“Lacey” I heard just as I was about to leave
“Yea Lucas”
“Can I come with you?” he asked
“Okay lets quickly get you dressed” I replied finding him clothes and brushing down his bed hair
I left a note that said “Lucas and I have gone out we will be back later love Lacey” I wanted to scratch the love part but thought it was best.
Buckling Lucas in he asked
“Are we meeting Oli?”
“No” I replied “Not today”
We made it into the city in no time at all, wondering around a little we came upon the one shop I was looking for “Tattoos & Piercings” read the sign out the front and I opened the door for Lucas and I to walk in.
“Hi what are you after today?” asked the lady at the front counter she had long black hair and tattoos roamed her body.
“I would like to get my lip pierced” I replied smiling
“No problems take a seat and fill out these forms” she replied kindly
I did as I was told maybe a little too eagerly
1. Because I really liked having my lip pierced before
And
2. Because I knew it would make Oli want me that little bit more.
“Okay when you’re ready” another lady came out from the room behind
“Lucas stay here ill be back in a minute” I told him and he nodded his head
“Hi so is that your sister” I heard the lady who was at the counter make conversation with my brother
“Yep” he replied joyfully
The lady who was piercing my lip had rubbed a sterol cloth over my lip and also sterilized the needle pulling out my bottom lip a little
“Are you ready for this” she asked
“I think so” I said not taking what she had asked literally but more metaphorically as to the games that were about to begin between me and one Oliver Sykes.
It was over it hurt a little but no more then what I could stand I grabbed Lucas after him saying goodbye to the lady whom he had made friends with and left the store roaming around the shopping center a little. I felt Lucas touch the piercing
“Careful Luke it hurts a little” I said and he nodded
“So what do you want to do?” I asked
“I want a new soccer ball” he replied and I did as he liked buying him a new ball to play with and buying myself a new jumper.
Getting home was the most painful part of the day. My mother was grateful that I hadn’t lost my brother like seriously they think im that irresponsible. Then they realised I had my lip pierced…again and the screaming started my farther just stood there with a small smile on his face that I could see while my mother just screamed and whine.
I decided I wasn’t going to have a screaming match with her instead I decided I would just head up stairs to my room and closed the door behind me.
I hated the fact that my mother especially could never see anything good in me even when I tried so hard to be the best possible daughter I could be.
“Why couldn’t she just be more like her cousin?” I heard my mother scream and it almost made me cry.
