Suffocation

Chapter Two

I looked up at him once more. He held out a hand. I stared at it blankly. He let out a frustrated sigh. I hurriedly grabbed his hand. He pulled me up. I dusted myself off. We stood there awkwardly.

"Uhm..Well Bye." I said walking away slowly. Someone grabbed my arm. I turned around. It was Ash-Lee. We started at each other for a minute. I started getting scared. Something about Ash-Lee's eyes made me cringe.

"We should hang out sometime." he said with a grin. I swallowed hard.
"I'll drop by your house tomorrow night?" I pulled my arm away from him.
"N-No. Don't." I stuttered walking off in the opposite direction. I walked to the private beach I found the first day i was here. My parents and I got into another fight that day and I left the house to calm down.

I sat down leaning against a rock. I let out a long sigh and pulled out my Ipod and turned it all the way up. I closed my eyes, todays events running through my head. Todays encounter with Ash-Lee came upon my thoughts.

"Why would he want to be seen with me?" I wondered out loud. All of a sudden someone pulled out one of my ear buds.
"Like I said before nothing more than to be kind to the new kid." Ash-Lee said sitting next to me. I jumped up.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I followed you of course." He said simply.
"Why?" I asked. He turned and smiled at me.

"Just want to get to know you I suppose." he said looking out at the ocean. I laughed. His head snapped towards me.
"Something amusing?" he asked in a dangerous voice.
"Yes. Why would you want to be seen with me?" I asked.

"Let say I want to be your friend." he said. I looked at him.
I don't think I should trust him. Something about Ash-Lee makes chills run down my spine. His eyes are so void and dark. Then again, Maybe im just being paranoid.

"We still on for tomorrow night?" he asked. I looked at him doubtfully.
"Y-Yeah." He slowly got up.
"I'll see you then." he said walking away.
"What have I gotten myself into." I whispered.
