We All Roll Along

Kelly and Garrett play in the rain for about a half an hour before Garrett takes her arm and they run to the van.

"That was some fun, huh?"

"Yeah. I haven't played in the rain in forever."

"Me either. It brings back good memories."

"Good memories?"

"When me,you, and Amanda used to still hang out."

"Oh. You miss her?"

"All the time. I hate being mad at her too, but I just get fustrated. I wanna hang out with her but all she does it seems is push me away."

"She's just confused right now. She loves you and Paul. And it's hard for her to be with Paul now that you've told her how you feel."

"Yeah, well it's harder for me to see it."

"It's hardest for me because I'm in the middle."

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't put so much of this on you."

"It's fine. I want you to tell me, so I can help you. After all what are best friends for?"

"Thanks. You are truly amazing! So are you and Kennedy an item yet?"

"An item? We're not grocery shopping. But no we are not. He hasn't exactly asked me out yet, just kissed me and said he wanted it to happen more often."

"Oh well why haven't you asked him yet?"

"Because I'm busy taking care of my two best friends."

"Ugh now I feel bad."

"Don't. It's fine. I've got the rest of the tour, besides it's not like we will have any private time with John always dogging you all to stay close."

"True. But still you should hang out with him."

"I want to but you guys are the main thing right now."

"Okay. So what do you think the solution is for this dilemma with me and Amanda?"

"Hang out with her, silly."

"Can't. She's too busy for me,remember?"

"Not true. Watch this.

Kelly pulls out her cell.

"What are you doing?"

"Texting Amanda."

"And?"

"She said she will be out here in a second."

"What?"

"You heard me."

Amanda's heart filled with joy when she got a text from Kelly asking her to join Garrett and her.

It was like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders.
She practically ran to the old van where she had spent so many nights with Garrett.

"Hey you!"
Kelly shouts

"Hey!"

"Hi." Garrett shyly replies.

"Since when are you shy around me?"

"Since I think you probably hate me for getting mad at you."

"I don't hate you, I was just sad that you didn't want to hang out with me."

"Oh well I do now."

"I know! Obvs!"

"Haha. You never cease to make me smile."

She smiles at him. "Well you have the same effect on me."

"Aww. Well this is getting too lovey dovey for me. I'm out." Kelly says.

"Oh don't go." Garrett says.

"Yeah, I will go. You two have fun."

He looks at her confused. "Okay."

She walks away.

"So what do you want to do?"

"Hmm. You want to hang out in the bus with me?"

"Sure."

"Let's go, then!"

She laces her fingers through his and they walk to the bus together.

They get there and she puts in a movie.

"Have you seen Yes Man?"

"No, is it any good."

"It's pretty good. I think you will like it."

She comes over and sits by him on the couch.
He scoots closer

Amanda can feel his breath against her neck. It feels warm and nice.
He scoots closer once more.

She's never been this close to Garrett before.
It feels different. But in a good way.

Suddenly she feel her head turning and his lips pressing against hers.
Her mind has the sudden instinct to turn away, but she doesn't.

Amanda kisses him and her fingers lace through his hair.
She feels his arms come around her waist and he pulls her closer.

Just then they hear a loud thud.
They quickly jump up.

"Having fun are we?"

It's Paul standing at the door staring at them with a pissed off look on his face.
