What's-His-Name

Chapter One

I sat on the sofa in our apartment , facing the door. Ryan’s cell phone was lying on the coffee table next to me . He’d forgotten to take it to work, a simple mistake, but it would cost him our relationship. the door clicked open and ry walked into the room.
“hi bren” he said walking over to me and placing his hands on my shoulders.
“hello RYAN”I replied spitefully his hands dropped ,I never called him Ryan.
“you left your phone here today”
“oh” he sounded slightly concerned , he should be.
“you got two texts”
He looked even more concerned.
“the first one was from someone called Emily” he relaxed slightly .there was no reason for me to worry about him getting texts from girls , he was my BOYFRIEND after all.
“it said …” I picked up the phone and read the text out loud ,
“hi ry
Have you told bden yet”
“told you what” he asked , but from the look on his face I could tell he already knew
“that’s what I was thinking when I got the second text” I paused “it was from some one called Jon “
He went very pale
“oh shit”
“oh shit indeed, GORGE” he cringed at the use of his first name. I smiled at the impact this conversation was having on him. I looked at the phone again ,
“hi ry babes
I had fun last night
Luv ya
Jon xxx “
He went even paler “its nothing brendon, he’s just a friend” he said
“a friend who calls you babes ?” I asked
“it’s a ‘in’ joke” he was running out of excuses
“and who signs his name with three ‘kisses’
He cracked
“ look brendon , what I did with him, it didn’t mean anything”
“and what exactly did you do with him” my voice was cold
“I FUCKED him , okay”
“no Ryan its not okay”
“it didn’t mean any thing , its not like you havent fucked anyone apart from me ,you’ve probably fucked half the towns population”
Then I dropped my bombshell
“PROVE IT”
He started to cry
“get out of my house” I said coldly
He didn’t move “NOW”
He walked away
As he reached the door he said “you’re a barstard brendon”
“so I’ve been told”
“I HATE you”
“its good to see the feelings mutual”
“fuck you” he said and walked out of the, our, MY apartment
He collected his stuff the next day , I haven’t seen him since
That was three years ago the night I made the biggest mistake in my life.
