Only partially awake, I did a lame, rhythm-less little dance when I walked into the house.
Of course, I didn't shut the door completely, and it blew open.Fail.
It didn't creak until it was completely open, wide enough for me to turn around and see Frank also frozen mid-dance, blushing.
We both stuttered something along lines of "goodnight", and went our separate ways.
I locked the door this time. Ha.
Embarrassment aside...I have a date.

Oh, crap. A date. In public. With a boy.
Green-eyed, sleepy-faced, beautiful boy.
I can feel the worry seeping in from all directions. Poisonous and seafoam green.
I mean, sure, for once my evening isn't spent shoveling handful-sized gobs of junk food down my throat, but...a date.
An actual date.
I'm feeling a bit lightheaded now, actually.
The whole room feels tilted, and the air's rushing between my lips, and everything'smovingsofreakingfastIthinkI'llthrowupsoon--
Oh. I was pacing. Didn't notice.
I shopped dead in my tracks, turned off the TV casting a ghostly glow on the face of my now passed-out little sister, and trudged upstairs in the blackness to go to bed.
