Chapter 13
Mirage looked crestfallen. "I'm sorry," she said, "but I had hoped that your initial thoughts wouldn't get in the way of your final decision. I'm sorry, but that answer is incorrect."
She looked sadly down at him. Luca froze. What did it mean if he failed? This wasn't real, was it? It couldn't be true, it couldn’t be real, it just couldn't. He looked at Mirage for support.
"Please," he plead, "please, this isn't real, is it? It can't be, can it?"
"I am so sorry, but, since you have failed here, yourself in the real world shall perish. Again, I really am truly sorry."
Luca could not believe what he was hearing. He wasn't dead. He couldn't be. This was all just a dream. He would wake up in his own bed, in his own house. But inside Luca knew,
He was Never Coming Home.
