Jill King begrudgingly moves from her home city of Baltimore, Maryland to the small coastal beach side Cascade Town when her father's business calls for it. Once there, she immediately befriends Darren Wilx, a mysterious forest dweller who is on high alert of "leeches", and Vladimir Rasputin, the charming and affectionate townie who she can't help but be attracted to. Who are these "leeches" that Darren keeps warning her about? What are her parents hiding from her?
