Chapter 20
I’m now walking home with Jess. Luckily, I saw her while I was talking to the two boys, so I just said goodbye to them and went to straight to jess.
“So, are you okay now?” Jess asked while we were walking.
“Yeah, I feel much better.’
“I heard Alex pulled you after class and talked to you. Did he ask about it?” she asked
“Yeah, he was kinda worried about me. Too worried actually. “I said, thinking about what his face looked like when he asked me why I was crying
“Oh, he’s so sweet right? He even took the time to talk to you and ask you about it! I really think he likes you” she stated again
I just nod, not wanting to argue anymore.
“Sash, I gotta go now. My mom got mad when I went home too late the other night.” Jess explained while I walk towards my house.
“Okay then! Bye!” I wave at her and enter my house
I sigh and look at my empty house again. I am always alone around here. It’s fun at times but most of the time, I get bored. My unexpectedly phone rang and I looked at the number. It wasn’t saved in my phone. Who can it be?
“Hello?”
“Hey! Sandra!” I hear Alex greet me on the other line
“Uh, Hi? How did you get my number?”
“I choked it out of Jack” he said and then chuckled
“Okay.”
“I just wanted to make sure it was the right number.”
“You’re certain now.” I muttered
“Someone’s in a bad mood?”
“Well, I am just bored” I told him
“Alone in the house again?” he asked
“Yeah” I answer, while opening the fridge
“Coincidently, I am alone too. Want me to come over? We can entertain ourselves. Together.” He mused
I thought about it and then thought it could be fun. Besides, I was bored like hell
“Yeah, sure, you can come over”
“Yay! I’ll be there in a minute!”
“Ok, bye!”
Exactly a minute later, I heard a knock on the door and I quickly answered it. I saw Alex, holding some junk food and a pint of cookies and cream ice cream. I smiled upon seeing this.
“Is that for me?” I asked, pointing at the pint.
“Depends if you’re nice to me” Alex smirked
“Blackmail!” I yelled at him and let him in
“So, what do you want to do?’ I ask him as he walks in my house
“Hmm, we can just eat all of these.” He said pointing at all the food he brought
“Fine, I am hungry anyway” I said and sat on the couch. I motioned him to sit beside me
“I love having picnics inside the house!” he exclaimed
