The Pain I've Grown to Know

Edward's P.O.V.

"i'm awake" allie said

"yeah but you want to sleep" i said

"what's your point?" she asked me

"just sleep. i'm going to be here and nothing could come within miles of us" i said

"why don't you check on amber?" she asked me

"because she's asleep and in her room" i said

"well i can't tell you to sleep because you can't" she told me

"yes you know much about me but i just want to watch you sleep" i told her

"why because you can't?" she asked me

"well i do other things other than just watching you" i said

"your not hungry?" she asked me

"a little" i said

"well there should be animals near here" she told me

"what kind?" i asked her

"deer for sure i don't know what else" she told me

"yeah i might have to go for a hunt now but just sleep ok" i told her

"where else am i going to leave to?" she asked me

"i'm not sure but you'd try to leave" i told her

"right now this bed feels good to me" she said closing her eyes

i bet i should go before the sun comes up i told her

where are you going? amber asked me

a hunt i told her

didn't you go before we got here? she asked me

yeah but i'm thirsty now i told her

do you want me to come with you? she asked me

if you want i told her

ok met me down stairs she told me

should i wake her up and tell her? i asked amber

no she needs her sleep amber told me

i went downstairs and waited for amber to come downstairs. i just kept thinking of allie. i hope she doesn't wake up when we're gone. i mean she is safe here right? i just don't trusted that guy damien

"i don't either" amber said

"what?" i asked her

"you don't trusted damien i don't either" she told me

"how are you and allie going to hide me when the sun is out?" i asked her

"allie can hide you i'm going to be with friends" she told me

"wouldn't allie do the same?" i asked her

"yeah and emily will be at the house nonstop" amber told me

"they really want allie here don't they?" i asked amber

"yeah they said it feels like he's here when she's around them" she told me

"you know i do care about your sister right?" i asked her

"yeah and once our dad finds out she's alive he's going to be pissed and she's going to be like you" amber told me

"why is it so important to have her like us?" i asked amber

"because i'm going to marry jacob and allie well you already know allie" she told me

"but this life isn't for her unless she needs to be safed" i told her

we soon left the house and went into a wooded area. i saw there was alot of deer. i wonder how allie knew some much about this area.

"how did allie know about the deer here?" i asked amber

"i have no idea she might kill them on her spare time" she said laughing.

she looked away and i got a deer. well i didn't just get one a got three. i knew we had to get back to the house. the sun was starting to rise a little and allie's sliding door was open because i was going to go in threw there.

we got back to the house. amber went threw the door and i ran up the stairs up to allie's room she was already awake. i never seen her awake this early before.

"where did you go?" she asked me

"i got hungry so i went for a hunt. don't worry amber showed me where and how did you know there was so many deer there?" i asked her

"no reason" she said

"allie" i asked her

"ok i've been there a few times when i was really hungry and food wasn't cutting it" allie said

"so you do want blood" i told her

"only sometimes" she said

"have i ever shown you what i look like it the sun?" i asked her

she shook her head. the sun was almost all the way out now. i opened the curtains and she saw my skin. she looked amazed by it.

"why haven't you shown me this before?" she asked me

"never was the right time" i told her as she got off her bed.

"oh" she told me walking towards me

"you know if you we're like me then your skin would be the same way?" i told her
