Summer Camp,Girl,Hot Vampire, Gotta Be Trouble

A week has gone by since the first hike. This whole week all the cabins have been hiking up that damn trail. Yesterday was Friday,thank god, which meant a free day. I was catching up on some sleep that was way past due.

Today is Saturday and according to that perky voice on the intercom everyone will start horseback riding today, with cam councilors. I haven't seen Mike since the first day of hell,(cough), I mean camp.

I got up did my usual rough tine. Shower, get dressed, etc,etc. We all then headed to the cafeteria. We included Helen, Beth, Becky, and myself. Megan always leaves early. (probably trying to get that stick out of her ass.) The cabin is pretty much getting along well, excluding Megan of course.

Helen is sweet and sometimes seem nice but try to steal one of her blueberry muffins and she'll go WW3 on your ass! Beth is pretty awesome. She has good taste in music and is now,thanks to me, a proud Twilighter. Becky is hilarious. She's like another Tiffany but she has her preppy moments. I'm still surprised anyone of them are friends with Megan. I'm just glad bitchiness isn't contagious.

Breakfast was soon over and all the cabins headed to there stables. Each cabin had there own stable and horses. Our cabin went to stable 13, where Mike was feeding the horses. I couldn't help but notice what he was wearing. He had on faded blue jeans, a plain white tee shirt that hugged his muscles, black combat boots and a black cowboy hat.

"Save a horse. Ride a cowboy.", was the first thought that came to mind but I pushed that thought aside, and finally realized Mike was saying hi to everyone and I was the only one that didn't respond.

"Hey" I finally said, feeling like an idiot. He smiled a toothy smile and went back to saying whatever he was saying. This time I listened.

"Ok, I know you girls have been coming here for a while so you can go ahead and mount your horses." He said to everyone but me. I could see Megan about to protest but I guess she knew she would look stupid if she said some random lie so she got on her horse.

"Now that you've mounted your horse you can go ahead and ride your horses on the riding trail." He said pointing to a trail in the distance. Everyone rode there horses on and I was left alone with cowboy Mike.

"Cassie, have you ever ridden a horse before?" Mike asked as soon as the girls were out of sight.

"I always wanted to but never got around to it." I said with a smirk.

"Well I guess you've finally gotten around to it." He said going into a stable. A few minutes later he came out with a horse. Now, I'm no expert horse person but I'm pretty sure it was a black stallion.

"Cassie, this is Chaos. Your horse." He said petting Chaos's head.

"Um. Mike. I'm all right with getting on a horse but... Chaos. Come on. Will any beginner get on the back of a black stallion named Chaos." I said with a smirk. Then he did something unexpected. He laughed. His laugh wasn't a your-so-crazy-laugh. It was a your-funny-nice-laugh. If that makes any sense.

"Cassie, He's a nice horse.",he said with a chuckle,"Your not even riding him today."

"Then what am I doing today?" I asked with the same smirk.

"Today I'm gonna teach you how to saddle him up." He said picking up a saddle from the stable floor.

"Now come over here so I can show you." he said with a smirk. I did as I was told and we went through step by step how to put the saddle on Chaos. Sometimes our hands would gently touch and the chillness of his hands from the hike will make shivers run up my spine. Before I knew it the day was almost done and we could see the girls in the distance.

"Tomorrow your gonna get on the horse." He said putting Chaos in his stable.

"Get on. Doesn't that include me falling on my ass every five minutes." I said with a smile.

"No it won't" He said smirking.

"How do you know that." I said leaning against a post.

All of a sudden he was serious. Staring me straight in the eye. "Because I'll never let you fall." he said with,what seemed like, all the truth in the world.

All I could do was look away as the intensity of his electric blue eyes became to much but all the while I could only think of how that was the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.
