Sequel: Save Me

You're Right That It's Wrong To Spend the Night Alone

2

I woke up in my bunk, alone.
Just like normal.

"Morning, Spence," I mumbled as he passed my bunk.

"Morning," he muttered, and kept moving.

It's great to know my best friend didn't even have two minutes for me.

I stumbled out of the bunk and into the kitchen area. "Morning, Bren," I muttered.

"Morning, Ry." He flashed half a tired smile at me and kept making his bowl of cereal.

Well, more of a response than Spencer gave.

I lay down on the sofa, staring at the floor like I did every morning.

A loud rendition of 'Round Here,' was heard, and we all jumped.

Brendon answered his phone tiredly. "Yeah?"
"No."
"We just woke up."
"But we're tired."
"We weren't out partying last night."
"Fine."
"Sure."
"'Kay. Bye, Pete."
He ended his call and said, "Guys, we're leaving in twenty minutes because of Pete!"

We groaned a bit, but got up to change and do the best we could with getting clean for the day.

"Brenny!" Pete squealed.

"Pete."

"Ryan!"

"Hey."

"Spencer!"

"Hey, Pete."

"Jon!" Jon squealed. "I figured I'd save you the trouble, Petey."

"Aw, thanks, babe!" Pete giggled, and kissed Jon's cheek.

Jon laughed and loosely linked his hand with Pete's. I swear, they were the only two people, much less couple, that could survive and function on four hours of sleep a night.
