Just Like That

Three men were sitting at a bar. Not one of them could have walked a straight line if their lives depended on it.

"Hey Tre, hand me 'nuther un kay?" Mike said to Tre who was sitting across from him. Just as Tre was handing mike another beer, Billie Joe took the beer and emptied it into a flower vase on the table.

"That was gooood beer...whata hell ya do tha for," Mike slurred trying to punch Billie on the shoulder. He missed awfully though as his vision was blurred. Crying noises coming from the TV attracted their attention though. All three of them looked at the TV. They looked just in time to see a man jump off a building, he landed with a splat and the recording ended with some news guy saying what a loss it had been. Billie just laughed. The bastard probably didn't even know the guy.

"Cheers for the building Guy." Tre said all of a sudden.
"Yeah cheers for him," Mike said raising his beer bottle. Billie just shook his head and lifted his glass.
"Life is so unpredictable," he said "No one's got it guaranteed that they're going to live tomorrow. I mean, life is like glass. So beautiful and precious. Some people take it for granted and don't live it to it's fullest extent. Like they don't appreciate what they got. Life's as fragile as hell, and then... " Billie let his grip on the glass cup go, and it fell on the floor shattering into about a million pieces "it's gone, it ends. Just like that"
