Discovering the Past

Trisexual

When I opened my eyes it was very early in the morning, the lamp was still on, like the night before.
Frank was sleeping deeply, even snoring.
I went to the bathroom really slowly; the last thing I wanted was to wake him up.
I washed my face and looked at my reflection in the mirror.

What am I doing?
It´s Frank, and he was drunk, he probably won´t remember it.
Maybe if I leave now, there´s a big chance that he’ll even think he spent the night with some girl.

I found my clothes and after changing I left the room very quietly.
I went to my bedroom and slept for a little while.

“Gerard!!!”
“What?!” I woke up violently, almost falling from the bed.
“Breakfast, it´s ready!?”
It was my little brother.
After knocking, He entered the room.

“It´s almost ten and the plane leaves at 12,” He shook me, throwing the covers to the floor. “C´mon.”
“I´m coming!”
I went to down after taking a shower; in the hotel dining room, Bob and Ray where already eating.
“Hi.”
Me and Mikey sat down next to them.
“Where is Frank?” Asked Ray to Mikey.
I tensed.
“He´s coming,” Mikey started to put sugar in his coffee, a smirk on his face. “I think he slept with someone last night,” Bob chuckled. “He was sleeping naked.”
“Probably Molly,” Said the blonde one.
Ray, Mikey and Bob laughed.
I just looked at my eggs.

“Hello!” Frank was waving, a big smile on his face.
“Hey,” Mikey and Ray said at unison. Bob only waved back at him, he was now concentrated on the newspaper.
“Here,” Ray handed him a plate with pancakes.
“Thank you Raymond.”
“Someone is happy,” Ray was grinning.
Frank just smiled.
I kept looking at my plate and eating silently. Frank ate in two minutes.
“And hungry,” Ray added, looking at Frank´s empty plate.

He was drinking cup of coffee when I excused myself.
“I´ll be on the bus…“
“You haven´t finished yet,” Mikey said, worried.
“It´s okay,” I said to him pretending a smile, “I need to do something... important… on the bus,” I tried to gave an excuse.

I went t to the bus and sat on the couch, reading, not reading, just looking at the comic and thinking of Frank.

Could I live without him, now that we had been together?
It´s going to be so difficult.
Damn it.

The bus door opened, it was Frank.
“Hey,” He said, looking down at the comic.
“What are you doing?”
“Reading.” I said trying to sound relaxed.
He sat next to me.
“This is the important thing you had to do?” He said amused. I just shrugged my shoulders, I kept on “reading” the comic.
After a couple of minutes of awkward silence he finally spoke.

“I wasn´t that drunk Gerard.”
All the color, the little color in my face, went out.
“Ah?”
“Don´t play the fool, I remember what happened last night.”
This was worst, he remembered, now he was there to tell me the awful mistake it had been.
I just looked at him, waiting for the punch.

“The thing is that…I …” He was having trouble.
“I meant it, what I said last night,” his voice was firm, conviction.
“What? I…” My face must have been funny because he smiled at me.
“I do love you, Gee.” He put his hand on my check and caressed with his thumb. “Last night was amazing.”
I smiled. He slowly came closer and kissed me on the lips, short, sweet.
“And Molly?”
“She´s gone, she dumped me, remember?”
I nodded.
“Look I don´t know what´s happening, my head is screaming that this is crazy, but my heart tells me otherwise.”
I kissed him.
“I love you too, Frankie. I was so jealous of her,” Frank smiled at my declaration. “But still, it’s so weird. Am I gay? I mean…”
“Hey, it´s not about being homosexual, bisexual or trisexual,” He giggled. “It´s about being with the person you love.” I smiled again and nodded.
We shared another kiss.
“So are we dating…?”
“If you want it,” He said smiling, grabbing my hand.
“I do.”
“But...”
“What?”
“Let’s keep it quiet, okay?” He looked serious now.
I nodded.
I wasn’t ready to tell the guys either.
He kissed me again softly and hugged me.
“Trisexual? What is that?”
He laughed loud, “It´s when you like aliens!”
