The light was unnatural. It shouldn’t be this bright, not even on the coach, driving through the countryside. Except, she wasn’t on the coach, she was lying down, on the cold hard floor. She looked up, and the light grew stronger. She changed position, trying to find a comfortable way to lie, yet after several failed attempts, gave up. She sat up, and tried to open her eyes, but they were still heavy. Rubbing her eyes with the backs of her hand, she opened them, but the room was fuzzy, the light too bright. She closed her eyes tight, trying to make sense of what was happening. They had been on the coach, taking the class to London, the natural history museum. She remembered the sudden wave of tiredness that had washed over her. The urge to sleep had become too much, and she woke up here. Eyes adjusting to the light, she looked around her and noticed the rest of her class, all asking the same questions; “Where are we?!” or “What’s happening to us?!”. And the answers were always the same; “I don’t know” or just silence.
“Alice? Alice! What’s going on?! Where are we?” The panic was noticeable in her voice.
Alice Pearsall, Girl 13, turned around, and could just make out who was calling her name. Melissa Dearman, girl 9.
“I… I don’t know.” Her voice was groggy, hiding the fear rising from inside her. They sat in silence, too afraid to speak.

So yeah, this is the opening. It took me about 4/5 attempts, so let see if it was worth it!
