I Hope It Gives You Hell

A Moment Of Peace

I must've fallen asleep because I had the sun trying to break through the overcast sky in my eyes. Today I wasn't really in a great mood after my epiphany I suffered yesterday. I got up and took a shower, then went back to my room. My outfit today was a black coat with buckles on it and a collar. The sleeves had buckles down near my hands and my skirt was black with a corset lace in the front and the skirt itself had a tattered lace look. I put on stockings and my combat boots before putting on my eyeliner. Leaving my room, I went into the kitchen and started making food. No one was home, which was normal. Usually the guys stayed over when they were working on an album, but sometimes they went home. The sound of a door opening snapped me out of my thoughts and I whirled around to find Mick standing in the doorway of the kitchen. Neither of us said anything and I found my voice didn't want to work.

"Craig wanted me to come over and apologize for last night…he's not home is he?" asked Mick. I shook my head and pointed to a chair for him to sit down. "Not really in a great mood?" he asked. I nodded and he sighed. "You always match your clothes to how your feeling. That's how we know what it is you are feeling, you aren't very open about that" said Mick. "Is this why you're not talking?" he asked. I nodded and placed some bacon, eggs, pancakes, bagels, and orange juice on the table. "Kera, please talk" he said. I sat down and took a bite from my bagel. "…what do you want me to say?" I said softly. Mick groaned and I could tell he was uncomfortable. "I remember why you hate me, and I don't blame you" I said. Mick turned to me, apathy written on his face but his eyes shone with curiosity and sorrow. "I have something for you…just wait here" I said before getting up and heading to my room. Digging through my closet, I found the guitar and smiled a bit before walking back to the kitchen.

"Here, I meant to give this to you before…but we were on bad terms" I said, handing him the guitar case. He raised an eyebrow and I felt myself becoming anxious. Mick opened the guitar case as I closed my eyes and I heard a sharp intake of breath. "Did…you buy this for me?" asked Mick. I opened my eyes and saw him starring in awe of the guitar in the case. It was the exact same B.C Rich guitar that I had broken. "Yes. I saved up all my money from work just to replace the guitar that I had destroyed" I said. Mick got up from the table and I soon found myself enveloped in a hug. "Thank you Kera" he said. I felt a smile tug at the corners of my mouth and I pulled away with a smile. "Now let's eat" I said. He nodded and we both sat down again to eat. It seemed things had calmed down, if only for now. Maybe now we can go back to being friends.
