One In A Million

Everything went great and fine. Well I didn't want Scott to see me cry but he did when he left, stupid emotions huh. It had been 2 weeks since my birthday and at the beginning it was fine, Josie came to knock for me and we went to the bottle bank,

"We're going to have a smashing time with the bottle bank" Josie said while giggling,

"Yep, it'll be fun" I giggled back.

When we had finished smashing the bottles we started our way to the park we usually hang out in, it was a weird walk but ok I guess. We stopped off at the little shop and Josie bought some sweets for herself and then we started off again. We got to the little park but saw it had people in it already so we thought about going to Tesco for some food. As we walked it was...well slow kind of but we talked so that made it feel a little better, when we got into Tesco a voice on the intercom said that they had a power cut and the tills weren't working,

"Want to go to Viki park then??" Josie suggested,

"Yeah ok then" I said and then we started walking.

We walked to Viki park and met up with people Josie knew and liked, there was Zac as well...I couldn't stop staring at him but like usual I didn't even get a hug off him. We hadn't been talking much really, I got Matt to tell him that I love him and he said that he already knew I liked him, and since then to me it feels like it's a bad thing to feel to love him. The day went on slowly and we were all suddenly moving around out of Viki, I stayed with Ryan and Adam because I didn't know where we were going,

"So where are we going??" I asked them when we again parted from the group,

"Going to meet up with Zac and Neil" Ryan said as he and Adam walked infront of me,

I nodded to myself and just followed them. It was a short walk but we finally got to Tesco and then found Zac and Neil, Zac still wasn't talking to me which made it awkward. We walked into the little park we hung out and swang on the swings just talking and having a laugh, I would look at Zac every now and then and I would see him looking back too. Then everything went wrong, 4 or 5 guys walked into the park shouting and swearing at us, we trying to walk away but they started attacking Zac, Ryan, Adam, Neil, and Simon with paint cans and fists, I just stood there to scared to move. Ryan, Adam and Neil got away quickly and Simon ran off with 3 of the guys chasing after him, Zac was left thankfully now but he was badly hurt. As I walked out of the park and turned the corner one of the guys said to me,

"Run love, run as fast as you can" and then with that he ran off too,

I stood there as I watched them run off completely and then saw Zac walking towards me, he was bleeding from his mouth and nose, and he was crying too. I didn't know what to do I would have hugged him but I didn't know excately where he had got hit so I didn't want to hurt him, and I didn't know what to say either. Me and him walked to Tesco where we found Neil, Ryan and Adam, before Neil got to us I said to Zac,

"You can get yourself cleared up in the toilets yeah"

"Yeah" he replied, still whipping at the blood coming out of his mouth.

We finally got to the entrance of Tesco and Zac went inside, I pushed Adam to go and help Zac clean himself up as I stood outside with Ryan and Neil, Ryan was standing there blabblering about what we should do but I couldn't stand it,

"Can we just go and see if Zac's ok first please" I said quiet loudly,

"Yes of course, hopefully Simon got away from them" he was talking about Simon as we got split up from him,

we walked into Tesco and to the toilets. Me being the only girl stayed outside and soon enough Adam and Neil came out, I stood there staring at them trying to find the words I wanted to come out but they wouldn't. My eyes started to well up but I ignored them,

"Are you ok??" I pointed at Adam,

"Yeah" he replied, well that's good,

"And are you ok??" I turned and asked Neil,

"Yeah" he replied back, well it was good they were ok,

I turned around and saw a stand with a small rodent box on it, me trying to lighten the mood took hold of the box and showed the guys,

"What a poor rodent to be stuff in there" I tried to smile but it wasn't working,

I put the box back and stood there again in silence, the tears where about to over flow and I had Adam and Neils eyes on me, just watching for what I was about to do. I let be gone and let the tears flow from me, Adam held out his arms and he gave me a hug that did help slightly but it didn't stop the tears. After a while Zac and Ryan came out of the toilet, Zac had a nasty gash on his cheek and his lips weren't the normal colour they usually were (yes I stare at his lips when I see him...). Ryan said that we needed to get to a busy place so we made our way to the town centre, Ryan was calling his mum and dad to tell them about what happened and we all just followed. When we got to the centre of town we sat at the big fountain to think of things,

"Are you ok Emmy??" Ryan asked me as I was standing up,

"No" I replied, I noticed Zac looked up at me as well,

I was shaking still, even though nothing happened to me I was still very shaken up by the whole thing. Ryan desided to call Simon and see where he was, luckyly Simon still had his phone, the guys had taken Zac's phone which didn't make me feel better. We walked up to were Simon was and found out that the guys had attacked him with one of the paint cans and cut his back. Ryan said that we should all go home, Simon asked Zac if he wanted to go to his and he did, he didn't say bye to me either which hurt a little, the rest of us walked back to the fountain to think of things,

"Right Emmy, do you have anyone to walk hone with you??" Ryan asked me,

"No" I replied back,

they were all going to walk home together as they lived nearly each other which was good for them, they would all look out for each other. Ryan had asked me if I had his number which I now did have and said that if I needed anything to call him even if it was the smallest of things, he gave me loads of hugs and I got a hug off Adam and then Neil before we went our sperate ways. The walk home was a very scary one and I wasn't looking forward to college the Monday as I would have to walk down the same road. I had called my mum and nearly cried on the phone to ask her to meet me at the front door and when I walked into my road I could see her standing there.
