You're Tiring Me Out By Tying Me Down

Have you ever woken up and wondered where the fuck you were, then realised where you were after a few seconds?

I have, but this morning that wasn't the case.

I opened my heavy eyelids, sighing. The first thing that hit me was the smell of hay, which woke me up with a start. I flailed, and sat up. I scanned the room.

I was in a barn, and it felt cold. That was all that would register in my brain, shock still filling it. I shivered.

Where am i? I wondered to myself, lifting my arms to rub my eyes. My arm stopped just before they could get to my eye. I gasped, panicking, realising that I was chained to the wall of the barn.

That was when I started screaming.

I screamed and flailed for a while, I didn't care that I probably sounded like a girl I was scared out of my mind. I'd had enough now, I wanted to wake up, I wanted this absolute nightmare to stop. It really made me queasy that I couldn't remember why or how I got here. Or why I'm chained to the wall...

Had I been raped? Was that even possible? Did Ian and the guys even wonder where I'd got to? I felt horrified when I thought that they probably wouldn't have. They'd think I'd gone off with some girl.

I scanned my memory of last night, lots of bars, Ian, Matt, Rhys and Oli, Ronnie's, Veronica, the barmaid, red eye contacts....clouds. I couldn't remember anything past that, and I squealed in frustration, tears spurting from my eyes. I shook with fear and the cold, and noticed I was still fully clothed. I can't have been raped. I thought, my stomach jerking at the thought of losing my precious, tedious virginity totally against my will. To someone I barely, or probably barely knew.

Then it came to me, perhaps my drink had been spiked. Another spill of tears poured from my eyes and I sat on the hay sobbing, what had I done to deserve this? My head hurt a lot, and I just wanted to get home. I wanted a hug from someone, someone I could trust.

I wanted out.

-----------

I sat there a while, thinking. Trying desperately to remember last night. As I thought harder, more seemed to fade away. I'd cried all my tears, so I sat there staring into a space. I felt nothing.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps on the gravel outside, and a rush of adrenaline ran through my vains.

"HELP!!!" I screamed, my voice breaking and squeaking. I rattled my chains and kicked my feet. My heart flooded with relief when I heard whoever it was unlocking the barn door, it rattled a while, the crack of light between the doors getting bigger and bigger until they opened, flooding the barn with glorious, defiant light.

I smiled, shielding my eyes. Stood there in the doorway was someone I didn't recognise, a farmer. He was in his 50's and wearing waterproofs. He looked as suprised to see me as I did to see him.

"Have I seen you here before?" The man said, coming over to me to unlock the chains. It seemed he had a spare key...

"Did you put me here?" I asked, standing up once the chains were unlocked, brushing myself off, legs wobbling.

"I asked you first," The farmer said smiling.

"No you haven't..." I said, confused.

"Ahh, ok." He said, leading me out of the barn to a country scenery I couldn't recognise. I wasn't in Cardiff city anymore I knew that.

"You said 'Did you put me here' like it was a regular thing, finding strange men in your barn," I said, whilst following him to what looked like a farm house.

"Oh it is, I find someone new every few weeks chained up in my barn. I just don't know why or how you lot appear there. Care to enlighten me?" He asked, his red cheeks glowing.

"I don't know either, sorry. I can't remember anything about last night," I said, remorseful

"That's what they all say," He sighed, pushing the door open, the warm smell of bread hitting my nostrils making me go weak with a sudden wave of hunger.

"You hungry, lad?" He asked me. "I'm Roger by the way, you need anything before I drop you back off where you need to be, just ask. It's the least I can do after a probably traumatic night,"

"Oh you don't have to..." I begen, he cut me off.

"I do, I've seen worse lads than you in my barn. Messes 'em up it does, whatever happens to 'em. You seem mentally sound though," Roger smiled

"I'm not so sure about that," I said, sitting down a the table to a glass of orange juice.

"Thanks a lot Roger, you saved me a lot of hassle and worry," I said to the farmer, sat inside the truck. I was relieved to be in the familiar suburbs of Cardiff again, I was home again.

"No worries lad, no skin off my nose," He said. He saluted me and drived off.

Now, to find out what the fuck happened to me last night.
